In the worst case scenario, you will be told that there is a freeze on promotions. If that were to happen, at least you would know the score and could start to look elsewhere. If your company does not appreciate your contribution, it’s time to go, especially if you have been working there several years.
Wait to make your move until next month after November 13. Mercury will also retrograde, from October 24 to November 13 (the same day that Venus will go direct). With both Venus and Mercury retrograde, management’s thinking could be scrambled and unclear. Be patient—things will get better next month.
