Your September 2026 Horoscope for Cancer
by Susan MillerMars will remain in Leo until November 25, and then he will move to Virgo for many weeks—from that point onward you will be able to travel again.
Get as much done in September as possible because October and early November will have a slower pace and, as a result, lower productivity. Two important planets are about to turn retrograde, so let’s look at them to see why you need to work hard in September (or table efforts until mid-to-late November).
First, Venus will turn retrograde from October 3 to November 13. Venus will retrograde in Scorpio and your truelove sector for part of October, so you may waffle about how you feel about your sweetheart. One minute you may feel that this person is right for you, and the next you’ll change your mind. Don’t make any final decision while any planet is retrograde—your thinking will be in flux.
If you’re single, Venus retrograde is not a good time to meet someone new, and it is also not considered the right time to get engaged or married. Ideally you want an alert, vibrant Venus (one that is not sleeping in retrograde) to shower you with her benefic vibrations of love and affection whenever you take a big romantic step. Thankfully, Venus only retrogrades for approximately 40 days every 18 months.
October and the first half of November will not be the right time to make decisions about your home because Venus rules your fourth house of home. Make home-related decisions in September, or put them off until late November or any time in December. Make decisions while Mars remains in Cancer (until September 27).
There is another reason to act with purpose in September. You will be far more productive now because Mercury will turn retrograde from October 24 until November 13. So beginning October 24, you will have both Venus and Mercury retrograde, until they both turn direct on the very same day, November 13.
