(At least we are getting these two days out of the way at the start of the month and will be done with them.) This would not be a good weekend to take a trip, even a short little one, so plan to stay home and go another time. Saturn and the Sun will cut across your two travel sectors in their confrontation. These same sectors rule legal documents, so delay signing key papers until October 7. Over this weekend, October 3-4, you will need more rest, for you will be more emotionally sensitive than usual.
Yet another celestial event will happen on this same weekend. It will be less dramatic but still require adjustment and attention.
On October 3 Venus will go retrograde until November 13. Venus will start to retrograde in Scorpio but will back into Libra on October 25, remaining there for the rest of her retrograde. Venus rules Libra and your ninth house of travel, so it will have a strong effect on your ability to travel. Venus does not retrograde that often—only every 18 month for 40 to 43 days. This time it will be for 42 days.
Venus retrograde might affect your plans for home design or décor as well because you have Taurus (the other sign Venus rules) on the solar cusp of your home and family sector. With Venus in a weakened state, withholding her best powers of beauty and grace, you may rush and make some decisions that you’ll later regret. If you are working with a designer or a friend with great taste, listen to her advice, and be openminded. Go slow. Let the advice settle in your mind for a few days before you decide whether to accept it or not.
