Your Horoscope for Taurus
by Susan MillerThe new moon of May 16 in Taurus, 26 degrees, will bring you out from behind closed doors and into the spotlight, either in your firm or the world at large. This new moon in Taurus is your annual birthday new moon that will favor you in a big way. This new moon will allow you to begin to plant seeds for something dear to your heart.
The new moon May 16 will conjunct Uranus (I will explain how in a second), sextile Jupiter, and be in a wide sextile to Neptune and Saturn. A sextile happens when two planets are 60 degrees apart (or close to 60 degrees), indicating a career opportunity will likely come up—one that you can take advantage of. You’d make good money from that new opportunity, too.
The new moon is falling late the in the sign of Taurus—26 degrees (a planet, the Sun, and the moon can only go to 29 degrees 59 minutes before moving into the next sign). This means you will have an out-of-sign conjunction with Uranus, planet of all things unanticipated and unexpected. For the first time in 84 years, Uranus recently moved to Gemini and is now at 1 degree and is in your second house of earned income and salary and influencing the new moon of May 16.
Uranus will be in direct communication with powerhouse Pluto in your tenth house of professional career advancement, and although Uranus is the planet of surprise, I feel this time it will be a happy communication. It looks like more money, perhaps as a raise, extra fee, or bonus, is on the way to you.
Only two days later, on May 18, Mars will enter Taurus and stay until June 28. This will be the first time in two years that you will have Mars’s help, and I firmly believe you will enjoy the change. You will have far more control over the direction of events you take, and you will step up to a role of leadership on a particular assignment. You will notice that others will come to you for advice and direction.
