Your October 2026 Horoscope for Scorpio
by Susan MillerVenus, Mercury, and Mars are called the “personal planets.” Their job is to make every day seem a bit different—the other planets (known as the outer planets—Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto) focus you more on your long-term goals, ones that may take years to accomplish. When any one of the personal planets retrogrades, we notice the difference because that planet has shut down and isn’t working on your behalf. (Mars, your ruler, won’t retrograde now but is due to retrograde in the New Year from January 10 to April 1, 2027.) Venus will retrograde for 42 days, something that Venus typically does every 18 months.
Venus will start retrograding in Scorpio on October 3, and in her journey backward, she will slip into Libra on October 25 for the rest of her retrograde. When Venus goes direct on November 13, she will go direct in Libra but will reenter Scorpio again on December 4, and that will bring your very best period for love and romance, specifically from December 4, 2026, to January 7, 2027—that’s holiday party time!
Venus retrograde is not the time for single Scorpios to look for a new romantic interest. If you’ve been dating someone for a long time but are not yet committed to each other, you may review your relationship in your mind to decide what should come next—to commit and stay, or to go. With any retrograde planet, you may change your mind about your relationship more than once. It would be best to wait to make your decision until after Venus retrograde is over next month (November 13)—don’t be in too much of a rush.
Venus rules fun, pampering, beauty, and luxury, but Venus sleeping is not a favorable time to give a big, lavish party, even if it is for a charity fundraiser (in which case, the donations are likely to be lower than expected). It is not a time to buy expensive jewelry, either.
