Your Horoscope for Libra
by Susan MillerChrissie asked for her old office back, but the boss laughed in her face. That was in 2008 when the country was in a severe economic downturn due to the mortgage crisis. Regular customers of the company that Chrissie worked for were holding back. Her boss pressed her to bring in more business, but at the time, companies were not giving parties and entertaining clients—parties did not fit the tenor and mood of the somber times.
The pressure was on Chrissie to produce more business, and it was relentless. Suddenly, Chrissie said to me that she couldn’t stand her city—she wanted to leave New York. She didn’t like her apartment, her boyfriend, her job, or any of the usual things that made her happy.
I call this the “bleed effect.” I knew she loved living in New York and that there was nothing wrong with the rest of her life. Soon after, on her own, Chrissie quit her job and told her boss that she was starting her own clothing business. Her boss laughed at her. Chrissie did start her business and made a big success out of it. She instantly returned to her usual joyful self. It was the job that was coloring her entire world to a dark charcoal grey. That office and the attitude of the company was suffocating her.
Chrissie, with 0 degrees Libra rising, is married to the love of her life, and together they have a son they adore, Otis. They live in Manhattan and can’t imagine living anywhere else. Life is glorious.
