First, Venus will retrograde October 3 to November 13. Venus does not retrograde very often—only every 18 months—so you may not be used to the effects of a languishing Venus. This planet rules love, beauty, and luxury and also has an effect on money dealings.
When Venus retrogrades, it is also best to stick to the status quo regarding your looks. Either have your dermatological treatments in September, such as for Botox, fillers, laser, and other skin protocols, or delay them until late November, leaving a space of days after November 13 (the date Venus will go direct). A planet needs a little time to regulate its orbit after it turns direct. If this sounds counterintuitive, it would be important to know that most planets are at their worst on the day they start and end their retrogrades.
While Venus is retrograde, you should also put off cosmetic dentistry or any dramatic changes to your hairstyle or color (trims are okay). As mentioned, don’t see your dermatologist for treatments to your face, and delay CoolSculpting® to freeze body parts to slim down. You can do any of these actions in September, but hold off in October and the first half of November. Since Venus rules love, singles should not seek a new love interest while Venus is retrograde, nor is it a good time to marry or get engaged. (To remind you, Venus will be out of phase from October 3 to November 13.) Venus also has links to profit and making money, so begin a new venture now or hold off until late November or December (to steer clear of Venus retrograde).
You have an additional reason to hold off. Mercury will also go retrograde, from October 24 to November 13, and because Mercury is your ruling planet, you will feel this retrograde strongly—more than most. If you work in publishing, broadcasting, transportation, I.T., or for the post office or any sort of commercial express mail, you will feel Mercury retrograde extra strongly because Mercury rules these industries. Mercury will go direct the same date that Venus goes direct (November 13).
