Your July 2026 Horoscope for Cancer
by Susan MillerDuring Mercury’s weeks in retrograde you should avoid making any legal commitments, starting a new venture, or buying anything expensive, from a house to fine jewelry (and especially not anything electronic, including a car—wait to buy it). I don’t even suggest you plan for any expensive deliveries either, like a new piece of furniture or mattress. Mercury’s mix-ups and delays are infamous. See if you can push any deliveries to well after July 23.
Can you travel? Yes! I travel all the time during Mercury retrograde, and usually these trips go very well. While you may have a delay at the airport, you can lower those chances by booking a flight that leaves early in the day. Be sure you have Apple AirTags in every piece of luggage, and include one in your computer case as well. Be careful not to leave anything behind on the plane or in a taxi. If you want to go out of town on a little holiday this month, be my guest. However, your coworkers at the office may call you when they freak out about something—keep your cell phone powered up so you can assuage any anxieties.
Once Mercury’s big brother, Mars, moves into Cancer on August 11 (until September 27), you will be moving at the speed of light. It will be better if you can enter that period well rested, for you will need high-octane energy. Also, besides having Mars in Cancer, we have two eclipses due next month—a new moon solar eclipse on August 12 in Leo and a full moon lunar eclipse on August 28 in Pisces. This means change will be in the air. You will need to be home to handle all the fast-moving events that will come up.
Now let’s look closer at this month. As you enter July, you will still be influenced by the recent full moon in Capricorn (8°) that appeared on June 29. You will feel the effects of the full moon until it wanes on July 4.
