Your October 2026 Horoscope for Libra
by Susan MillerThis month, be content with a slow pace. Venus, your ruling planet, will shut down to rest in retrograde from October 3 to November 13. Your ruling planet’s job is to defend you, protect you, and generally take good care of you, but when Venus is retrograde, she retreats to sleep, and she isn’t available to help you. You will have to work harder without her support, and that will slow things down.
Venus only retrogrades every 18 months for 40 to 43 days (this time it’s 42 days), so you don’t experience this retrograde all that often. Operating in the background, Venus’s help would be all too easy to take for granted, so you may now notice her absence. Thankfully, Venus will turn direct on November 13.
When she first turns retrograde on October 3, Venus will be in Scorpio, but on October 25 she will slip backward into Libra and remain there until the end of her retrograde on November 13. Like people who have been in a deep sleep, when awakened, they need a little coffee to get going. Venus will also need a little time to regulate herself once she turns direct.
Venus rules love, luxury, parties, fun, and social activities. While Mars has special dominion over men, Venus rules all products and services aimed toward women, so Venus retrograde is not a good time to launch a new female-oriented product or service or start an advertising, publicity, or social media campaign aimed at the female market.
