Your October 2026 Horoscope for Gemini

But with Venus retrograding now, she will be direct for the coming year-end holidays when all the parties start up. Last month, in your September forecast, I wrote about the impending Venus retrograde so that you could get ready—Venus retrograde is not a good time to have expensive beauty treatments (for both men and women), such as a facelift, or for scheduling Botox, fillers, laser treatments, microneedling, or cool sculpting. It’s not the time to make a complete, dramatic change in your haircut or color, either (but it’s fine to do normal, routine grooming). Sit tight and keep to the status quo until the second half of November, or wait until December.
Venus rules your fifth house of new love, so if you have been dating someone for a short while, you may be indecisive about how you feel about that person. Your feelings may run hot and cold. Don’t make any final decision about this relationship while Venus is retrograde, as you will likely keep changing your mind until it goes direct (November 13).
Venus also rules matters pertaining to your children, so the same rule applies. It may take until mid-November to settle on a course of action, such as which school your child will attend next year. If you are in negotiations over a divorce, you might be stuck on child custody, visitation, child support, or other matters involving your children. If possible, delay a decision on those matters until later, in the second part of November. If that is not realistic, then put some elasticity into the clause so that you and your soon-to-be-ex can adjust the agreement if necessary after it goes into effect.
I might as well drop the other shoe now: Your ruling planet, Mercury, will also go retrograde—from October 24 to November 13 (the same date Venus goes direct). Mercury will retrograde in Scorpio, so you will feel a slowdown in your daily routine and in your work assignments, and you may also see possible mix-ups with financial matters.
