The new moon of June 14 in Gemini, 24 degrees, will light your truelove sector. Usually this annual new moon in your fifth house of true love would energize your social life in a big way. There’s a problem with this new moon, however—it is not speaking to any planets. Not one! This makes it impossible to get any kind of traction going and to experience progress in the 10 days that follows this new moon.
A moon that is isolated like this is called a moon void of course. (This can occur at any stage of the moon’s cycle.) This effect is a little bit like Mercury retrograde where nothing seems to work. Things stay the same as they were before. Often a void moon will stay void for a few minutes or a few hours. Not this one. The moon will go void the moment the new moon appears at 10:52 PM EDT, and it won’t come out of void until the next day at 8:14 AM EDT. That means this moon will be void for approximately nearly nine and a half hours, which is unusually long. What matters in this case is that the void takes place precisely when the new moon is born, to the minute, and at that point, the die is cast of how that new moon will exert its energy in the weeks to come.
