Your May 2025 Horoscope for Virgo
by Susan MillerA few days ago, at the new moon in Taurus on April 27, you might have been preparing to travel to a distant city or to stay in your home city and work on a project with a foreign person (either living abroad or in your country).
That new moon was under siege by both Mars and Pluto, so I am wondering if you chose to delay this trip because you found the start of the project somewhat turbulent. If you delayed travel, you did the right thing. Life will improve so much by the last week of May that it may seem miraculous. Mars and Pluto are moving away from each other, but they won’t be far enough apart to improve life until the end of May, so be patient.
The new moon of April 27 appeared in your ninth house and will affect you for five months, but it will be especially strong for the first 10 days after it appears. This explains why you will feel the effects of the new moon as you enter May.
A new moon in the ninth house rules global travel, international relationships, and your pursuit of higher education. It also rules the courts and legal actions and the dispersal of information through broadcasting and publishing. One of the topics listed will be a focus for you.
The problem, however, is that new moon in Taurus, 8 degrees, was quite flawed. There has been a running conflict between Mars and Pluto that first came up during the first week of November last year. Their arguments dropped down to a bubbling simmer, then turned up to full boil again during the first week of January this year. Mars and Pluto backed off a little again after that, but it hasn’t been enough to make you feel stress-free.
