Your October 2024 Horoscope for Taurus
by Susan MillerYou will be very much in demand at work, for it will be busy and all hands will be needed on deck. The October 2 new moon in Libra, 10 degrees, will also be a solar eclipse, which is much stronger than a regular new moon. It will likely open possibilities for new assignments and also bring a more active pace at home. Even if you don’t like making to-do lists, you may have to make one this month or risk forgetting to do something important.
A new moon usually opens a new door of opportunity, and this one—being a solar eclipse—will do that. Your sixth house will be activated, so if you are looking for a job, this new moon eclipse should bring you options to consider. You are not likely to take a step up, but this would be a chance to make a lateral move to a job similar to the one you currently have. (Alternatively, you may get part-time work for weekends to add to your regular salary.) There are times when too much is going on in our lives to even entertain the idea of taking on a bigger, more responsible, and powerful job.
I have often found that an eclipse in this part of your chart brings the departure of a worker who reported to you (and who you depend upon), and I agree, hearing that news is often stressful. It doesn’t matter if that person reports to you at home as a nanny, housekeeper, or gardener, as some examples, or at work as an assistant or expert collaborator you hired for their area of specialty. You would know if someone will be “eclipsed out” of your environment shortly after the eclipse appears—within one week.
Action Mars will be in conflict with this solar eclipse, adding an obstacle in contractual talks, or concerning the process of completing a project. Mars will, however, be especially friendly with Venus, his sweetheart. This is significant for Venus will be the most prominent planet on October 2. This is a good sign that things will work out. Even if you initially feel everything has been going wrong, it’s not going wrong at all! Keep your eye on the prize, and doggedly go after it. It looks as though you will get what you want in the end.
