Your April 2025 Horoscope for Taurus
by Susan MillerAs April dawns, bringing with it a warmer season of spring, the sign of renewal in the Northern Hemisphere, you remain hopeful. The beginning of 2025 has been strewn with a plethora of rocks in the road, and that surprised you. This was due to the high-energy planet Mars retrograde (December 6 to February 23), Mercury retrograde (November 25 to December 15 and again March 15 to April 7), and Venus retrograde (March 1 to April 12). Even the most powerful person in the world could not reverse the steady stream of challenges we all felt, no matter what their sign.
No planet jumps to life the minute it turns direct, so suffice to say, all these planets will be robust and back to normal health by mid-May. You don’t have to wait until each planet is in perfect shape, however, but you do have to give each planet at least one week’s space of days before you move into action. Sometimes waiting is not possible, so we do the best we can.
You are no doubt feeling Venus retrograde because Venus rules Taurus. If you have been wondering why life has lumbered along, not showing a lot of progress, that’s what happens when your ruler is resting in retrograde. During these periods you won’t feel the full effect of Venus’s assistance or protection because you don’t have full access to her powers. Venus will go direct on April 12, but not fully regulate her orbit until May 16. However, each day following April 12, Venus will grow stronger and stronger.
What should you do in the meantime? Review what’s been going on in the past year, see if you can point out weaknesses in an ongoing project or relationship, and find possible fixes.
Mercury will go direct April 7 and fully regain his powers on April 26. Normally, you could start signing papers about five days after the planet goes direct. However, I need to point out that April 7 clashes with the soon-to-arrive feisty full moon of April 12 in Libra, 23 degrees. All full moons have an umbrella effect of influence over the five days after they arrive. On April 12 Mars in Cancer will be in hard angle to the Sun in Aries and full moon in Libra, so obstacles—and possibly heated disagreements—will come up. Wait until at least April 17 to act.
