Mars is your ruler, and it’s hard to persuade others—including team members—of doing things a better way while Mars is retrograde. Mars is the planet of high-octane action, but when he is retrograde, things languish, people are unable or unwilling to make a decision, and daily life can be maddening. Think of Mars as the gas you put in your car—without fuel, you can’t drive forward.
Mars only retrogrades once every two years, so we are not used to having Mars out of service. You can succeed during Mars retrograde, but you need to exert additional effort to do so—you must work with great determination and give more time, money, and energy to a project than usual. Why? You will have to make up for the lack of powerful assistance that Mars typically offers you, and you will miss it.
