Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
This is a lovely month for you. Do you like to travel? May will brim with exciting opportunities to journey near or far, as your heart desires. If you can’t get away or you’re not particularly interested in traveling this month, there will be plenty of events to keep you busy in terms of thrilling opportunities in writing and public speaking and related fields. There’s more! You’ll have chances to sign up for a course on a new topic or go back to college to update your knowledge in your specialty. Creativity is always important to Pisces, and you will find that in the second half of May you will have plenty of time to devote to artistic, creative, or literary projects.
Life balance is sometimes hard to find, but it will be easy for you to accomplish in May, for you will be able to set aside time for family and friends. You will also be able to spruce up your apartment or house. Among the very best possibilities this month, you will have a chance to enjoy heavenly romantic moments, too. This has the makings of an ideal month for you, dear Pisces.
The month takes off with a superb new moon on May 4 in Taurus, 14 degrees, that will open wide a previously locked door to help you travel or to train your talents on one of the communication arts. These possibilities are not mutually exclusive—you may enjoy success in both areas. If you do travel in the first two weeks of May to have a face-to-face with a client, you are most likely to find it is a short trip, such as the distance from New York City to Philadelphia, Los Angeles to Ojai, or London to Paris. The reason for your short trip might well be for business, for the ruler of your third house of travel is Venus, and that house will be highlighted by the new moon May 4. Lo and behold, Venus is posited in your financial second house of earned income. Venus’ presence there, in your financial sector, suggests you will be able to generate fees or profits if you travel for business on any day from May 1 to 15.
In addition to travel, you will have outstanding opportunities in publishing, broadcasting, and the digital world. In the early part of the month, if you like to write, send a query letter to your editor, suggesting a piece you would like to write. Or, you may introduce your newly published book at a series of book signings now, you can sign a work order to start the team working on the development of your idea for an app, or you may be ready to produce your own Internet television show. Alternatively, you can move ahead as a social media consultant or publicist or work as an agent or in sales.
The third house rules all these skills and is encouraging you to start immediately on one area that interests you. If you feel communication is not your forte, you can always take classes to strengthen your skills. Now that Uranus, planet of surprise and even genius, is in your third house for the coming seven years, being able to communicate well is a skill worth developing.
One of the finest days of the month will be May 9, when Venus and Jupiter, planet of good fortune, will be in sweet harmony—a trine—and will likely bring on an exceptional day for your career. Your profile will be high, your popularity strong, and because Jupiter is near, your influence will grow.
This same third house, so brilliantly lit now, is also associated with a sibling. You might decide to do something special with your sister, such as to rent a vacation cottage for later in the year, or work with your brother on a surprise party for your parents’ anniversary coming up in a few months. Your sibling is figuring strongly in your chart, so think of how you can collaborate on a project if you get along well.
As you see, the new moon of May 4 comes brimming with opportunity. The part I like so much is that Saturn and Pluto, orbiting arm-in-arm in Capricorn—only three degrees apart—will be beaming luck to the Sun and new moon. This indicates some powerful friends or groups, regarding clubs, communities, companies, or constituencies that you belong to, work with, or are invited to speak to, hold the golden key to your progress. Also lovely will be that Neptune, your ruler, now in its home sign of Pisces, will send you lyrical inspiration for creative ideas. If you write music, you could now write an award-winning song.
May will work out far better than you suppose, for you’ve not seen a month so favorable in a long time. This month comes to you from a loving universe, sending you many possibilities for progress in this impressive month.
All Pisces will benefit from the star power this month, as May will be an extraordinary month. If your birthday falls on March 4, plus or minus five days, you will be in an exceptional position to reap the rewards of this magical new moon. The same is true if you have Pisces rising or your natal moon in Pisces at the same 14 degrees, with a tolerance of plus or minus five degrees. Also, look at your chart to see if you have any natal planets in Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn at 14 degrees, plus or minus five degrees, for that planet will be lit up and able to bring you benefits.
Here is a day to circle. May 8 will be a wonderful day that will be ideal for brainstorming innovative ideas or artistic approaches to a new project, when Mercury will align perfectly with Uranus. Mercury collects facts, but Uranus, as the higher octave of Mercury, will take the information gathered by Mercury and help you to synthesize it into something new that could reside in the realm of genius. Your mind will be lit with 100,000 points of light this month, and doubly so on this day. Choose a person that you trust to act as a sounding board and together, generate ideas. Don’t edit as you go—just let them spill forth like dozens of perfectly cut diamonds falling from inside the crown of your head. Later, you and your friend or teammate will be able to choose among the best to shape into something special to show the world.
One of the finest days of the month will be May 9, when Venus and Jupiter, planet of good fortune, will be in sweet harmony—a trine—and will likely bring on an exceptional day for your career. Your profile will be high, your popularity strong, and because Jupiter is near, your influence will grow. You have Jupiter in your solar tenth house of honors, awards, and achievements for the first time since 2007, and Jupiter will remain there until December 2. On this day, May 9, transiting Venus in Aries will be in your solar second house of earned income and will receive signals from benefic Jupiter. This is a day when your influence will grow, and you will also reap financial rewards, which could be generous—watch and see.
If you are writing, speaking, or otherwise involved with communication or the media, you will do well on Saturday, May 11, or Monday, May 13. On these days, the Sun in your third house of communication will exchange friendly beams, first with Saturn on May 11, and on then with Pluto on May 13 for a very successful event.
Now let’s turn to your private life, for Mars, the action planet, will be circulating in your fourth house of home, a holdover from April that will continue until May 15. During this time, you may focus on finding ways to make your home more inviting and comfortable. You may paint, renovate, make repairs, decorate, shop for new furniture, or even find a new place to live.
Alternatively, you might choose to use Mars’ high-octane energy to spend more time with family members. You’ve been very consumed with your career lately, which is understandable, as you have needed to keep your eye on professional matters, and you will continue to be given many chances to advance. However, in the first two weeks of May you might want to focus on having fun with your children or your parent(s). Mars will leave Gemini, your fourth house of home, on May 15. Next month you will have more chances to focus on home after the new moon on June 3, but I like your opportunities in May a little bit better.
The day before Mars leaves Gemini—May 14—Venus and Mars will flirt with one another in an exciting way, making for a wonderful chance to find what you need in a living situation. You may locate the perfect new apartment or house, or you may rent a summer cottage. If you are in the market for furniture, you may find the one piece you’ve long been seeking and at a bargain price. Venus is all about how things look—graceful, beautiful, cozy, chic, modern, or highly original. You’re bound to be excited when you locate precisely what you are looking for on this sparkling day.
If you need to sign a contract for a highly successful deal, choose May 16, when Mercury, the planet of contracts, will receive stabilizing beams from Saturn. The promise you make on this day could last forever.
More travel is likely to come up at the full moon May 18 in Scorpio at 28 degrees in your solar ninth house of travel, foreign people, and places. This is a divine full moon, one of the best I have seen in a very long time. Saturn and Pluto in your solar eleventh house of hopes, wishes, and friendships will again beam the Sun and full moon on your behalf. Again, just as earlier in the month at the new moon, powerful friends will provide assistance to you—ask, for they will be willing to help you with almost anything you need. The eleventh house, where Saturn and Pluto are residing, is where dreams come true about something you want dearly, material or spiritual in nature. No wish is beyond you—think big, dear Pisces. Again, Neptune will be in the right position to beam to the full moon and inspire you to give your all to a creative assignment that could turn out to be quite impressive.
As a result of this full moon May 18, plus or minus four days, you may soon be on a long journey that would require your passport. Alternatively, you may be making an important publishing or broadcasting deal that you will be celebrating, and it may be with a company based overseas, or it could be in your country but headed by foreign people.
Actions taken in relation to academia also shine, so you might now choose the college that you will attend in the fall, take a major exam that you will ace, or now successfully defend your thesis. The ninth house is also a legal house, so any legal action you take at this full moon should prove to be effective. Many opportunities will pop up, so choose carefully how best to use this sweet gift from a loving universe—the actions you take will likely prove to be very beneficial to you!
If your birthday falls on March 17, plus or minus five days, you will benefit in an outstanding way at this full moon. The same is true if you have Pisces rising 28 degrees, or your natal moon is in Pisces, in both cases, at 28 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. If you have a natal planet in Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn at 28 degrees, that planet will be highlighted and will bring benefits to you—take notes.
There’s even more good news on the way! When Mars leaves your home sector and departs Gemini on May 15, he will enter Cancer, your truelove sector (fifth house) from May 15 to July 1. This is sensational news, for this is the first time in two years that you will host Mars in this loving, affectionate part of your chart. If you are single, you have reason to be optimistic that you might meet your one truelove in the weeks to come. If you are attached, you will have more private time together, a wonderful development.
Are you hoping for a baby? Questions about conception have become my number one question from women readers (and from prospective fathers, too) as there appears to be an epidemic of readers having difficulty with conception. This is partly due to the media’s propensity to print stories about celebrities having babies at 45 and 50, but it’s not at all easy or guaranteed at that age. It’s also a very expensive process when you try later in life. Once Mars moves into Cancer on May 15 to stay until July 1, women readers can freeze their eggs or try in vitro fertilization. Not having problems with conception and you desire a baby? Start now.
Venus will move into Taurus, a fine place for Venus to be for you, from May 15 to June 8. This is even more good news for your love life, for Venus will amp up your allure and bring heavenly experiences when socializing, especially when you are traveling. This might be a time to choose several new wardrobe items for the coming season or to pack in your luggage—Venus will see to it that your new items flatter you and will bring you compliments.
Almost the moment Venus enters Taurus (May 15), Uranus will be there to greet lovely Venus on Saturday, May 18, which also happens to be the date of the compatible full moon—the only part the full moon will play here is to amplify feelings to greater heights (which is really nice!). With Uranus sending a bushel of romantic surprises and fun for you on this weekend, you must plan something with your one-and-only, or if you don’t have a romantic partner, you may meet someone you find intriguing. Look your very best!
Dear reader, when I talk of love, I am never talking about a roll in the hay, but a lasting, deeply emotional relationship based on love, respect and trust—just what you want on this day and in the other days listed here.
One of my favorite days for you this month for love and romance will be May 22, when Mars in Cancer will receive sparkling beams from surprise-a-minute Uranus. (Seeing a doctor about having a baby would also be favored.) This will be an outstanding day, filled with serendipity and unexpected events. Mars and Uranus are beautifully oriented, so chances are the news you get or the experience you have will thrill you.
The month will end on another gorgeous day for love—May 30—when Venus in Taurus will reach out to your ruler, Neptune, strongest in its home sign of Pisces, and create a glamorous dream of an evening for you.
What a wonderful month you have in store! Be out and about in May! Life cannot always be this special!
Uranus, the planet of surprise, chaos, innovation, and creativity recently entered Taurus for the first time in your life. Now in your third house of the mind and thinking, you will have flashes of insight and brilliant ideas when you barely are concentrating on certain subjects. Ideas will come to you, now and the seven years ahead, and you must capture them and use them in your work, dear Pisces.
After the new moon of May 4 arrives, you may be asked to write a regular column for a prestigious magazine or newspaper website. You may write a book or scientific white paper, be asked to speak on television, or be invited to speak to a large group. If your work is imaginative or visual or if you write musical lyrics, the new moon’s signal to Neptune, your ruler, is a very good sign that you’ll be thrilled with your opportunities and with your output, and you will soon see that your chances to work on more sophisticated projects will multiply. You will likely be comforted by events too, for this new moon will be friendly to stabilizing Saturn in your house of community, clubs, and friendships, indicating you seem to have enthusiastic, loyal supporters for your work, and they will not let you down.
Watch May 2, when Mercury (news, information) and Jupiter (fame and profit) will be in perfect sync. It seems any message you get on this day should thrill you. This would also be the day to hand in a finished manuscript or give an important media interview.
If you need to brainstorm for ideas, you could not wish for a better day than May 8, when Mercury and Uranus will be in sync, as will be the transiting Sun and your ruler, Neptune.
Money should be heading your way as a result of Venus and Mars’ interaction on May 14.
The full moon in Scorpio on May 18 this month may bring a publishing or broadcasting venture to the final stage of fruition. You may conclude a movie or see the last day of a made-for-television movie. You may find out exactly how many copies were sold of your book, or you may sell an option on a screenplay you wrote that could soon go into production. Full moons bring closure to a project or a phase of it.
Alternatively, this full moon may bring a welcome verdict to a court case you have filed, a final decision about citizenship, or a green card or visa from immigration authorities. If you are in college or graduate school, you may do well on a test or in defending your thesis or hear other happy news having to do with your efforts to attain an advanced university degree. Travel also seems to be on the agenda, either throughout the month to nearby locations, or near the full moon, May 18, you may be making plans to take a very distant trip you’ve longed to take.
No matter how you direct the energy of this full moon, you will likely love the outcome. This full moon in fellow water-sign Scorpio is made for you, for again Saturn, and also Pluto, will help you hear news that will excite you and at the same time comfort you and have you feeling secure. Saturn and Pluto are both in the friendship/club/groups sector of your chart (eleventh house), suggesting that your reputation and good nature will have something to do with the success you experience at the full moon.
Mars will light you house of home in the first half of May, a holdover from April, so if you want to move, paint, make repairs, hire a contractor, work on your décor, buy new furniture, or find a roommate, do so early in the month, prior to May 15. You will have another chance next month at the new moon June 3 to work on your living quarters, but this month’s star power is my favorite, and I think you will best like the options you have now.
Once Mars moves into Cancer on May 15 to stay until July 1, you will have your best chance of 2019 to enjoy love, as Mars will brilliantly light your new love-truelove sector (fifth house). This month you may want to pay special attention to electric vibrations when Mars in Cancer contacts Uranus in Taurus on May 22. You may meet someone special on a quick trip nearby (done for any purpose) or simply as you run errands around your neighborhood. Already attached? Watch for a possible romantic text or email. It’s a sparkling day, May 22, filled with surprises, thanks to Mars and Uranus in heavenly communication, so flirt with your partner if you are attached, just like you did when you first met. In all, May could become one of your favorite months of the year.
