September has so many sparkling aspects—my favorite will be the full moon in Pisces September 10, and it will be active for five days beyond the date it appears as the full moon gently wanes. When you read my September forecast, read for your Sun sign and rising sign, as we all have two charts. In each case, be sure to read about this full moon and plan to use it!

Your September Horoscope for Pisces
You have a very special month ahead, dear Pisces. An important relationship will get special focus, and the full moon later will bring you heaps of good news about something dear to your heart. The best part is that you won’t be expecting the news you’ll get, and it will thrill you. As the month nears its end, money could be on the way to you too, and that would be the icing on the cake.
I say you will enjoy September, being fully aware that Mercury will be retrograde from September 9 to October 2. Don’t let that get you down—you have too many good things to think about.
Mercury will start out retrograding in Libra, so certain payments due you may be held up a short time. Before long, though, by September 23, Mercury will move backward into your opposite sign of Virgo. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, so Mercury will be stronger in this sign for you from September 23 to October 2. Have your repairman’s phone number within reach. Mercury has a way of showing us products that are wearing out and need repair—that’s par for the course. You may have had to already replace a product or a part in late August because we always feel the oncoming retrograde of Mercury before he even officially turns. You may buy something that has to be returned. It happens. We are all used to this when Mercury is acting up.
With Mercury retrograde, the world will be in flux. The list of priorities that you held yesterday may get shuffled, added to, or deleted tomorrow. Mercury signals that conditions are in the process of changing dynamically, so it’s a time to watch to see where you stand when the cosmic dust clears. For this reason, it’s best NOT to sign a contract during Mercury retrograde. So many people know about Mercury retrograde now that you can probably just say you need to wait until October. Never rush to act the day any planet goes direct—wait a few days. I would like you to finalize a deal by signing on October 9, the full moon in Aries, a glorious full moon. This is a Sunday, but you have five days beyond this date in which to act.
The reason it’s not wise to buy machines or electronics when Mercury is retrograde is that Mercury rules the gears and all the moving parts in machines and the electronic chips in electronic products. When Mercury is asleep, we either buy a lemon and it never works properly, or we make the wrong choice—either way, we simply don’t enjoy the product as we had hoped. It’s also possible a newer, better model will come out a few months later, after we have used the product we bought when Mercury was retrograde and no longer can return it—and we have buyer’s remorse.
Let’s start looking at the new moon that just occurred August 27 in Virgo, 4 degrees, that will influence you in a positive way as you move into September. This new moon will have you thinking about joining forces with someone you either love and want to marry or someone you have met and want to hire in your business. In the latter case, the person would not just be an employee, but rather someone substantial that you would work with in a confidential one-on-one way, such as you would with a lawyer, accountant, manager, or agent.
With Mercury retrograde, I would rather you wait to seal your promise to the other person in early October, especially near that lovely full moon October 9. If you tell the person you will definitely sign next month, that adds up to a verbal agreement, and in astrology, that is the same as signing. No, it would be better to simply explore the details of such a union but not commit until October. If the person is someone you will do business with, you can ask questions now and mull over the details of precisely how the relationship would work.
The spotlight will switch to your dreams, wishes, and accomplishments at the full moon in Pisces on September 10. Something is coming to culmination, and what is to occur will be dear to your heart.
If you are in love and want to get engaged soon, I still like early October better. If you are already married, you may be making plans together for something important—to buy a house or condo, to renovate, or to buy or rent a vacation home. It could be that you will go into business together. If you always wanted to travel to a place you never thought you’d see, you and your spouse may plan that trip. As long as you don’t buy your air or cruise tickets while Mercury is retrograde, you can plan now and have fun traveling later.
Now let’s turn to your biggest moment of the month, perhaps the biggest moment this season—the full moon September 10 in Pisces, 18 degrees. This full moon is absolutely dazzling. I feel you will be thrilled by all that occurs. Uranus, the planet of surprise, is in Taurus, 19 degrees, and will send a fantastic beam to both the Sun and full moon. The full moon is in Pisces, and your ruler Neptune will be conjunct, adding poetry and a lyrical quality that is rare. The moon in your solar chart rules romance, creativity, and children, so it looks like the weekend of September 10-11 will sparkle brightly.
The Sun in your chart rules your work-a-day assignments, so this full moon may have something to do with a project you worked hard on and will now be revealed, garnering you critical acclaim. Alternatively, you might now be approved for a new project that makes you very happy because you’ll be able to add plenty of your imagination, creativity, and style. Alternatively, it might bring you an important publishing or public speaking assignment.
It is impossible to guess what Uranus is cooking up because his very nature is to bring something you’d never be looking for as possible. Uranus is based in your travel house, so you might take a quick, spontaneous trip over the September 10-11 weekend, one you had not planned, but when you get the invitation, you’ll feel it is too special to miss.
Full moons in your own sign or in your rising sign, like this one in Pisces on September 10, will reveal what is truly important to you at this moment in time. See what comes up.
If your birthday falls on March 9, plus or minus five days, you will feel the message of this full moon the most. The same is true if you have Pisces rising or a Pisces natal moon at 18 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. Additionally, if you have your natal chart, look to see if you have any natal planet within five degrees of 18 degrees in Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn. If you do, this month’s full moon will coincide with your natal planet in Pisces or make a friendly aspect to that planet in one of the other signs listed. Watch what happens, and see how that planet works hard to help you.
Now let’s turn to look at what Mars is doing, for his activities always have strong bearing on you. Last month, Mars entered Gemini and usually stays in a sign six or seven weeks, but this time he will be in Gemini for seven months! He has set up shop in your house of home and family, so for the term of his visit in Gemini, your family, physical residence, or other property you may own or rent will become a major focus or top priority. Or it may be that the care for your family will be in the spotlight and how you can help one special member.
Just so you have the dates, Mars entered Gemini, your home and family sector, on August 20 and will stay until March 25, 2023.
Mars was always called the timekeeper of the zodiac by the ancient astrologers, for correctly, when Mars enters a house of your chart, he brings a lot of high-octane energy and attention to that house. Sometimes it’s too much energy, and it can cause strife. I hope this does not happen, for as a tender Pisces, you tend to be close to your family. Squabbling can be very hurtful to someone as sensitive as you, even if you are not involved with the conflict but standing on the sidelines.
There are so many ways this could play out. You may have a very happy relationship with your family and realize your mother or father needs you to assist them, to give advice, find solutions, or to simply be present more often. In a different manifestation, if your daughter had a baby, for example, you may need to be with her and possibly live in her house for a while to help her.
Alternatively, Mars may put a big spotlight on your present home, perhaps because you are renovating it, making a number of repairs that will take months to complete, or you may want to buy a fixer-upper and work on it for months. If you are moving, that would fit too, for moving takes a yeoman’s effort and in many ways is a nearly all-consuming focus. If you plan to buy property, before you ever get to move you have plenty of paperwork to present to the bank, and it has to be accurate. (With Mercury retrograde, the chances for errors or inaccuracies mount, so have your accountant involved in the preparation.)
The reason Mars is spending so long in one sign is that he will go retrograde next month in the middle of his long journey through Gemini.
Mars will be in Gemini from August 20 to March 25, 2023, and will be retrograde in Gemini from October 30 to January 12.
Never plan to take action on or near the date a planet goes retrograde or direct. Always leave a space of days. Mars retrograde will cause delays. Let’s say you are renovating, and your contractor suddenly finds something wrong in the structure of the house that has to be fixed before he can continue. Things like that happen. In a way, Mars’ tour of Gemini will be like alternating current, going back and forth.
As a Pisces (or if you have Pisces rising), you are flexible, adaptable, and mutable and deal very well with change. You see change as an inevitable part of life and view changes as opportunities to make something (or a situation) better. When there is a break in the flow of a project or situation, you have a chance to rethink, readdress, reimagine, or reform it. That’s why you will do better than most during the coming months.
Now let’s look at the new moon of September 25 in Libra, 3 degrees. This new moon will open a road to new ways to make money. This new moon will fall in your eighth house of other people’s money, so there’s a good chance you will make a commission, royalty, or licensing fee from the deal you begin to think about now. You may also be doing tax planning and estimating, and it would be a good time to meet with your accountant. If you need to write a will and do estate planning, this is also a good time for that. If you received an inheritance, you can begin to do research now in order to decide how to invest it.
It’s been said that the eighth house is the area where we make big deals, such as to go to college or graduate school, buy a house, or start a business. Most people need funding to make a goal like this a reality. This is the house that would allow you to fill out the forms for you to eventually get the necessary funding to make a goal happen. You’ll have that perfect new moon now. If you need a mortgage, student loan or financial aid, or venture capital, this would be the time to apply.
As you see, this is a busy month, and I think you will like it very much. Your very best months will be November and December, so stay tuned—you will end 2022 on a very high note.
At the start of September, you will be thinking about your partner in love or in business. The new moon of last month, August 27, set the stage for a supremely smooth joint collaboration or commitment. The Sun and new moon met in Virgo, your seventh house of partnership, making it an ideal time to think about the possibility of an impending engagement.
All sorts of collaborative work are covered by the seventh house, and business alliances come under this category, too. Usually, a contract is created to form the underpinning of the venture. However, the timing is not quite right to move ahead on the collaboration.
Mercury will be retrograde this month, September 9 to October 2, so it would be better to hold off signing until the retrograde is over. Leave a space of days after the last day of Mercury’s retrograde on October 2. You can begin talks and explore how joining forces would work, but the tendency will be to rush, and you must avoid that impulse and take your time.
There is a solemn quality about any type of alliance in the seventh house. Each party must live up to their promises made to the proposed partner or collaborator if mutual benefit is to be achieved. You may be working with one or more partners on a special project or with people you retained as experts to help you run your business. If you feel you need an expert—someone who will hold an important role in your company—you will start the interview process as soon as you are able to accurately sum up what’s to be done and develop a job description. You may need an agent, accountant, social media manger, publicist, advertising agency, app developer, business partner, or other such person.
The spotlight will switch to your dreams, wishes, and accomplishments at the full moon in Pisces on September 10. Something is coming to culmination, and what is to occur will be dear to your heart. If you are not sure what is most important to you in your life (you may assume everything is), watch this full moon to see its message. This full moon’s emphasis will give you a good idea of your major priority at this moment in time.
The best part about this full moon is that Uranus, currently in Taurus, your third house of communication, will be in perfect position to beam a big, exciting surprise to you. You may debut your newly published book, your redone website, an app, e-book, screenplay, or some other creative expression. Jupiter is in Aries, so it seems to say you’ll have a very new or current theme. Jupiter’s positional also suggests that financially this will be a great time for you—watch the full moon October 9 (plus five days) for proof.
Mars is now in Gemini and started a very long tour of your home and family sector on August 20. Usually, Mars stays in a sign for six weeks, but this time Mars will remain for seven months in this area of your chart. To say that your family, your home, or other property will be a major focus for you in coming months is an understatement. Something is going on with your home or a family member, and that situation will capture your full attention, along with everything else going on in your busy life.
As if you haven’t enough to think about, you will need to save time to do some savvy money management after the new moon of Libra appears on September 25.
You may need to find the money to pay for an expensive goal, such as to buy property, go to college or graduate school, buy a car, or start a renovation on your condo. You may have to make an application to your bank for a mortgage, home improvement loan, or auto loan, or send in an application to your college for financial aid. Filling out those forms are complex, so take your time—any error on the form could lessen your chances of being approved.
Mercury will still be retrograde, so if you can possibly wait until October, a few days after October 2, that would be ideal. I suggest sending in your form on October 7 or on the full moon October 9. Get everything important done in early October because Mercury’s big brother Mars will go retrograde for months, from October 30 to January 12. While you have an open road and blue skies in the first 15 days of October, take full advantage.
