Pisces Horoscope for October 2021

News from Susan Miller

Dear Reader:

I am so happy to send you my October forecast because it is an unusual one. Despite the fact that Mercury will be retrograde until October 18 (almost always an annoying aspect causing delays and mix-ups), you can nevertheless look forward to a splendid month, filled with many magnificent aspects sprinkled throughout October. I feel these coming jewel-like aspects will be so strong, you may not be ruffled too much by Mercury retrograde. After all, you do have experience with little Mercury and can outwit many of his antics.

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

Pisces is the least materialistic and the most spiritual sign of the zodiac, which presents a quagmire concerning why you would be so focused on money throughout October. Your two financial sectors of your chart will be lit and will keep drawing you back to this topic. Yet this month is a strongly solid one, offering you several superb opportunities to make more, so in the end, I feel you will love the way most things go.

Let’s first look to the new moon October 6 in Libra, 13 degrees, when this financial trend will start in earnest, for this new moon will light your eighth house of other people’s money. This part of your chart shows money you owe others, and also money others owe you. Accompanying the new moon will be the Sun, Mercury, and Mars in this same financial house, a total of four heavenly bodies (including the new moon). That is considered quite a bit of energy centered in one place. Certainly, money will be an all-consuming focus in October.

As said, there are two houses of your horoscope that cover money, and the one that is your eighth house of other people’s money will be lit up at October 6 new moon. The other is your the second house of salary and earned income, personal savings, and possessions, and that one will be lit later in the month, at the full moon in Aries on October 20. Let’s look at both, one at a time.

The new moon of October 6 will open an opportunity to collect money due you. If anyone owes you a check for a commission, royalty, bonus, cash advance, or licensing fee, it will likely come on or near October 6. The same is true if you are owed back child support, or a final check for a divorce or court settlement will be finalized soon. If you are due a tax refund, you are likely to get it now. On the flip side, if you owe taxes or have an obligation to your credit card company, bank, a business partner, or just about anyone else in your circle, you will likely need to pay that money now.

Mars is in this house, and Mars often increases spending, so you may see your credit card balances or line of credit climb, but only this month. You may have already seen balances rise last month because Mars entered Libra, your eighth house of other people’s money, on September 14 but will leave October 30. Mars is brash, and he wants things to happen immediately, so believe me, this will be a productive month—financial matters will get settled.

I love that Saturn, planet of stability, will be in ideal angle to this October 6 new moon. This tells me your actions this month will add to your sense of security. Jupiter will be friendly too, although I wish Jupiter were in a closer, tighter aspect to the new moon. Nevertheless, Jupiter is still within 10 degrees (which is on the borderline of significance) of a sextile to the new moon, an aspect of opportunity. I will take it and say this will help you. Later, at the full moon, Jupiter will be in perfect angle to the Sun, so I will take that, too! Ha, ha.

On October 15, good-fortune Jupiter will signal the mighty Sun. This is due to be a red-letter day for you, so use this fantastic day for any financial initiation. Jupiter will be mathematically in tight exchange with the Sun—that’s ideal—so you will be wildly favored. Use this day to speak with an authority figure who can benefit you with a financial matter. If you need a bank loan or mortgage, or you need to refinance your present mortgage, make your appointment for this day. This is also a stunning day to close on the sale or purchase of a house, to send in an application for a grant, to make an appeal to an insurance company, or to ask for money of the university financial aid department. I love this day for you!

In your career, you seem to be generating plenty of respect and admiration from VIPs. Venus will move into your tenth house of prestigious professional achievements and reputation on October 7 and remain there until November 5.

Here is another stellar day for financial matters: October 18, when energetic Mars will receive golden beams from Jupiter, so on this day, actions lead to profit, expansion, and a likely very favorable financial outcome. Wait a day or two for Mercury (who is retrograde until October 18—more on that in a moment) to work itself out, because Mars and Jupiter will remain close. This aspect happens once or sometimes twice a year, although some years this aspect (or one similarly favorable) doesn’t happen at all.

Now, depending on your chart and where other natal planets are based, Mars could trigger arguments from someone near you. Mars has a well-known tendency to bring noise to matters covered by the house he is visiting. Mars is traveling close to the new moon and Sun, to exact degree, so that will add plenty of energy. So, for example, if you are trying to divide property at the end of a marriage or business, your soon-to-be ex-partner could become contentious in discussions. Have various solutions ready that you could offer if talks heat up. Huddle with your accountant or lawyer ahead of time to create those solutions.

The eighth house is more than the paying of bills and receiving money deemed for you. It also rules wills, estates, proxies, and other such legal documents that you need to have in place, especially if you have children. This may be the time to sit down with a specialist lawyer who deals in these types of legalities and create the paperwork. Wait until the third week of the month to see a lawyer. Here is why.

Mercury is retrograde, which started September 26 and will continue to October 18. This adds another twist to the matter of money, for Mercury will retrograde in this same financial house, your eighth house of other of other people’s money. Mistakes happen during these periods, so make sure no unauthorized charges show up on your bank statements or credit card bills. Guard against identity theft, and if you are currently suffering from someone who has assumed your identity, seek out the steps you can take to clear your name—do so immediately if this happened to you. You have planetary help now, so use it.

Your eighth house also covers inheritance, and if some family members are not happy about how the money was distributed to the heirs, there may be angry discussions or even a court case. Insurance is also covered by the eighth house, so if you filed a claim and are not happy with the answer the insurance company sent you, you might want to file an appeal (yes, do it). If you are a college student and applied for financial aid, and this year of you are offered less aid than you received last year and are shocked, you can also file an appeal to present your reasons why you would like the committee to reassess your application. When something seems “off” to you (or unfair), it is fine to appeal during Mercury retrograde in an effort to realign something into greater fairness and balance.

If you have caught someone stealing from you, personally or in your own business, it will be a longer discussion, requiring backup paperwork from the perpetrator. That person will likely resist your request to show it to you. You may need a lawyer, forensic accountant, or even a court order to get the backup if the person you suspect is uncooperative. If the person is innocent, the paperwork will prove it. Still, Mars is moving quickly though this financial area of your chart, so you might be able to settle things faster than you first assume.

The eighth house also rules surgery. You might schedule an operation this month, for this house is called the house of transformation. In this case, the surgeon removes the part of you that has hurt you, and afterwards you recover and transform your health. If you need emergency surgery, you can and should have it done even while Mercury is retrograde.

If you have elective surgery, it might be best to schedule it after Mercury is moving direct.

I am being watchful and concerned about November’s aspects. If you have a copy of my 2021 Year Ahead Astrological Calendar and have read the notes I made on November 4, you have seen my concern. Uranus will act like a wild child, unpredictable and lashing out in all directions, but especially at the new moon and Sun in tight degree.

The full moon lunar eclipse in Taurus on November 19 won’t be easy either. For these reasons, do your research while Mercury is retrograde in early to mid-October, then get your ducks in a row so that you will be ready to make decisions, agreements, and sign papers after Mercury goes direct on October 18. Leave at least two days space after Mercury goes direct, though, as Mercury always needs a little time to regulate its orbit when changing from retrograde to direct.

A verbal agreement is considered the same as signing an agreement in astrology, and also in many laws of the land. For example, some states in the US recognize verbal agreements to be in place for one year if there are no other factors to consider.

Let’s say a client sends you a contract during Mercury retrograde. If you call your client and say, sure, you will sign the contract, but not until October 20, after Mercury has moved direct, that won’t quite work! The reason is that you have made a verbal commitment with that phone call. It is best to hold the contract and inform the client that you have sent it to your lawyer. After your lawyer has had time to go through the contract, you can show changes you want to make as you near October 18 (the date Mercury goes direct), and sign your client’s paperwork after that.

If you feel that you will lose out if you don’t sign immediately—you may lose the rental apartment, or the job offer will be rescinded—then sign it. In that case, you will be fully aware that the situation you think you are entering may change from the one you assumed it would be. On the other hand, it is easier to get a new job if you have a job (as one example), so in that case, if you are unemployed, take the job. It might be a stop-gap job. There is nothing wrong with that, for you will be paid, and that means you can cover expenses.

The full moon of October 20 in Aries, 27 degrees, will end the thinking about money. You may now have an agreement and are likely to receive any money that is owed to you. If you have to pay someone a large sum you don’t have (like a tax bill for example), you can set up a payment plan. Or if you do have all the money you need to cover the obligation, simply send the check to the person who is waiting for it.

Jupiter, the great good-fortune planet, will be perfectly positioned to send golden vibrations to the full moon, so I feel you will be receiving money, not sending it out. If you have to send money, I still maintain more money will be coming in to cover it, and even be enough to leave you a surplus.

Mars will conjoin this Sun at the full moon, so Mars will give a great deal of energy to this full moon. This suggests you will want things to be signed, sealed, and delivered by October 20, and bingo, you will get things done. All full moons are operative within five days after they appear, so watch the days of October 20 to October 25 to finish off things. If you are signing papers on or after this date, Mercury’s comforting beam from Saturn, planet of longevity, at this full moon makes this a favorable time to finish up your agreement. Mercury’s position in your eighth house suggest you can now add to your overall sense of financial security.

There is one problem with the full moon and that’s Pluto, which will be in hard angle to the full moon, suggesting you will need to pay someone who is being insistent he be paid now, or just the opposite, be unwilling to pay you what he owes. I am seeing in my mind’s eye the 800-pound gorilla who can negotiate anything he wants using a scorched earth method of demands.

Pluto square the Sun (which is what you have here at the full moon, at 90-degree angles to each other) often sets up an unfair situation. In this case, if you should be troubled by a person like this, you may have to cut your losses, give up, and get away from the situation. If the 800-pound gorilla is the government, of course, you have to deal with that—it’s always best to pay them first, as their penalties can be astronomical. You have to see how this works out for you. Still, let’s not forget you’ll have help from Jupiter near the full moon October 20, and Jupiter has been called the planet of miracles.

I have other good news for you. Pluto is about to go direct on October 6, having been retrograde since April 27. This will improve business and your relationship with people abroad, as well as in regard to media products, immigration matters, and questions involving your goal to get an advanced university degree.

Saturn will also go direct this month on October 10, having been retrograde since May 23. Saturn is in your twelfth house of secrets, so if anyone has been withholding information from you, once Saturn goes direct, that information will come to the surface. I am not saying you do have someone near you that has not been completely transparent with you, but if you do, you will soon know.

Jupiter will go direct too, in his case October 17, having been retrograde since June 20. Jupiter is in the same twelfth house as Saturn and is now in late degrees of Aquarius. Jupiter will now move forward, and because he rules your tenth house of career, you may see one or more professional breakthroughs in the coming weeks and months. Jupiter will be in a much better position than he has been over the past few months to help you see the rewards that are due you for the hard work you’ve put into your career.

Jupiter is in late degrees of Aquarius (22 degrees out of a possible 30 degrees), and this means Jupiter is now traveling through deep space straight toward your sign, dear Pisces. Jupiter is due to arrive December 28. His will see that you enter the best year of your life, to stay many months in 2022. Jupiter has taken 12 years to get to your sign (this is usual), so this is due to be a monumental trend.

You had a little taste of Jupiter in Pisces earlier this year, from May 13 to July 28, 2021. The early-born Pisces, whose birthdays fall from February 19 to February 23, were the ones who benefitted the most from Jupiter’s preview visit. From now on, Jupiter will move swiftly through space to cover the degrees of all Pisces’ birthdays, and you will feel this in the first months of 2022. Yay!

Now let’s look at the final days of October, which should be spectacular.

This month, Venus will enter Sagittarius on October 7 to stay until November 5. This will make you very popular with VIPs and could easily bring you praise from a boss, client, or from positive publicity through an interview in the press during the time Venus stays in Sagittarius.

On October 28, Venus in Sagittarius will receive dazzling beams from benefic Jupiter, so a confidential meeting or a secret plan you are working on will likely work out splendidly. Also at that time, you will realize just how appreciated you are by your firm’s management, or if you are self-employed or are a public figure, how much your supporters/fans adore you.

On October 31, Mercury will receive a trine (heavenly aspect of harmony) from Jupiter. This could be a day you reach accord on a financial matter, and you will be thrilled with the result. This will be your best day of the month to sign a contract or to close on a house or condo.

This same day, October 31, would also be perfect to take a trip, to purchase something expensive like a car, computer, smart phone, handsome piece of furniture, a rug, or appliance like a refrigerator, dishwasher, or washer and dryer. Alternatively, on this day you can give a speech (sure to be well received), be active on social media, or send in a report or manuscript with the full expectation that the person receiving it will like it. Any communication-oriented project will do well on this day. October 31 is surely a special day.

You are a spiritual, creative soul, not often obsessed with money management, but this month the universe says it’s time to look over your bank statements and to examine your income, savings, and investments. You might want to make some adjustments before you get to the end of the year. One reason you will be so focused on money is due to the new moon of October 6, which will appear in Libra, your solar eighth house of other people’s money.

Saturn will send stabilizing rays to the new moon, October 6, so your progress will be gratifying. Saturn will help you build a sturdy foundation for your financial goals, and Jupiter, communicating with Mercury, means the financial gains and rewards you see this month should please you.

This lovely new moon—friendly in every way—will be accompanied by her partner the Sun, as well as by Mercury and his brother Mars. Mercury is currently retrograde, a trend that started September 26 and will continue until October 18. Check your bank and credit card statements carefully to make sure no on has made unauthorized charges to your account. Occasionally, financial institutions make errors or crooks try to gain from your good name. The sooner you catch a problem, the easier it will be to have it corrected.

If you need to apply for college financial aid, a mortgage, a refinance plan, or a bank loan, see your banker just after the new moon on October 6 and get things in motion. Alternatively, if you want to make an insurance claim, apply for a government program for pandemic aid, or feel it’s time to do a little savvy tax planning for year-end, then call your accountant. Applications take time to work their way through institutions, so hopefully, you will hear back near the favorable full moon in the third week of October.

Your strong focus on money will culminate at the full moon of October 20 when you may receive quite a bit of money. It may represent a raise in salary, if you work for others, and if you work for yourself, you might see a windfall from concluding an agreement with a new client—or you may see that this quarter you have generated outstanding sales.

In your career, you seem to be generating plenty of respect and admiration from VIPs. Venus will move into your tenth house of prestigious professional achievements and reputation on October 7 and remain there until November 5.

Mars will soon tour your career sector, from December 13 to January 24, 2022, so prepare for that visit of Mars—your vision, leadership, creativity, and accomplishments will be in the spotlight, and you might be the subject of some superb publicity.

At year’s end, Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, will enter Pisces for the first time in 12 years, and you will enter the best year of your life in 2022. For that glorious year to be all that it can be, you need to know what you dearly want to happen next and work toward that goal. Spend time now meditating on the next new chapter of your life. You will walk over the threshold into your spectacular New Year with Jupiter in 2022 starting on December 28, 2021.
