News from Susan Miller
July will be a big month with lots of opportunities to be productive and also to have fun. This month no longer has Mercury retrograde—that ended June 22. July has no eclipses or angry new or full moons. In short, things should hum along for you, and you will likely be pleased with how things go in your professional and personal life.
Now, turning to another subject, do you believe in synchronicity? I do. When something terrible happens in my life, like the unexpected death of my former husband, Don Miller, I look to see what else is happening in my life at the same time. Any upbeat developments I see can help to point to a way to heal. The universe will always strive for balance by delivering happy news, often at the same time. When Turner Classic Movies called me to do an assignment, which I am thrilled to tell you about below, I knew this was just the boost I needed to lift my spirits.
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
Every once in a while, the planets begin cooperating, and life becomes just as you had hoped it would be. You are now in one of your best months of the year, for Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, is still in Pisces, a place he entered on May 13 and will remain until July 28.
This will be your best month of the trio (May, June, July) for Mercury was retrograde from May 29 to June 22 and cut into your glorious period of good fortune. Jupiter kept trying to help you, but you suffered delays, miscommunications, and general frustrations, so it was hard to make solid progress. You are now out from under Mercury’s persistent antics, so July will be not only your best month of the season, it will be your favorite month of the year. You’ve not had a visit from Jupiter in 12 years—aspects this rare are always noticed.
Before Neptune was discovered in 1846, Jupiter was assigned as your ruling planet, and to this day, astrologers look to both Jupiter and Neptune to assess your forecast. (Astrology was developed by the Chaldeans in Babylonia in Mesopotamia 2,400 years ago.) Jupiter is the natural ruler of your solar tenth house of fame and honors, so I feel some of your biggest accomplishments in 2022 will come in connection with your career.
Neptune rules your solar first house of your personality and identity, so other gains will be personal ones. When your two rulers, Jupiter and Neptune, are in agreement, you always do well. In 2022, Neptune and Jupiter will form the strongest aspect possible, a conjunction. That will happen on April 12, 2022.
Both planets move slowly, so you will have the benefits of the meeting of Jupiter and Neptune during the first half of 2022 and again in the last three months of that year. It looks like you will have your cake and eat it too in 2022. What a great year is on the way!
If your birthday falls February 19-24, you were feeling the direct rays of Jupiter’s bounty in July. Still, you may have a natal planet at 0 to 2 degrees (or close to those degrees) or you may have your rising sign in Pisces at those degrees. If you do, you will have benefic Jupiter shower that planet with benefits. I feel every Pisces will have something to celebrate.
As said, Jupiter entered Pisces on May 13, to leave and re-enter Aquarius on July 28, but don’t be sorry to lose Jupiter. He plans to come back to Pisces on December 28, 2021, in preparation for your most glorious year, 2022. This short visit of Jupiter was meant to be a preview of what is to come—it was meant to get you excited to see what is possible. You are now waiting in the wings with the curtain about to go up and when you will be center stage as the celestial favorite for months. Dear Pisces, you now have time to decide what you would like to achieve in 2022. Don’t discount July—this one will bring lucky breaks and will sparkle like diamonds in the Sun. This is only the beginning, dear Pisces, as things will get even better for you in 2022.
The first big moment this month will arrive with the new moon in Cancer on July 9 at 18 degrees where it will light your fifth house of true love. It is a peach of a new moon, packed with happy surprises.
Now let’s look at this month’s key aspects.
The first big moment this month will arrive with the new moon in Cancer on July 9 at 18 degrees where it will light your fifth house of true love. It is a peach of a new moon, packed with happy surprises. This comes thanks to Uranus in ideal sextile (60 degrees) to the Sun and moon. This suggests that if you are single, you may have a fateful meeting with a romantic interest. The meeting would be very electric with superb chemistry between you and that new person, and certainly you would want to get to know one another better. The new moon is in sensitive water-sign Cancer, a sign that blends divinely with yours. Uranus is touring your third house of quick, short trips, such as within 200 miles from home. This is where you are likely to meet that person.
Alternatively, the third house also rules writing and speaking—communication—so it might be through your work that the meeting comes to be. You may give a public appearance, or someone may become familiar with your work and write to you.
If you are attached, you are about to experience a romantic episode that could seem to come out of the silver screen. Plan something special in the days that follow the new moon, July 9. You may want to go away together on a trip, and if so, bring your children for bushels of fun. Call ahead to the innkeeper or concierge about availability of babysitters at your chosen location—you will want some “just us two” time together, too.
If you hope for a baby, this new moon will be the best one of the year to begin trying. If you have been disappointed with conception, then see a fertility specialist (or get a second opinion) in the days that follow the new moon. If you already have children, you may be making special plans for one of your children—it will be a very gratifying moment, filled with love.
If you are not interested in romance right now (possible for any number of reasons), you can concentrate on your creativity, for this new moon will bring a huge boost and the possibility of a new assignment coming straight out of left field into your hands. It will suit you perfectly, too. Thinking about this golden period to come after the new moon, July 9, and you having a chance to show the range of your creativity are not mutually exclusive—you may have romance AND a chance to show your artistic expression as all these topics are covered by the fifth house, which will be so lit up for you.
If your birthday falls on March 9, plus or minus five days, this new moon will affect you the most, and you will notice this vibration. The same is true if you have Pisces rising, your natal moon or a natal planet in Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn at 18 degrees, plus or minus five degrees.
One day that may stand out for your love life will be July 12, when Jupiter will reach out to Mercury—that would be a gorgeous day to be on the road on a trip. It should be quite romantic!
Another day when the stars above will be twinkling brightly will be July 20, when Mercury will receive dazzling beams from surprise planet Uranus. You will feel playful and spontaneous, a perfect day to include if you are planning a trip. All the qualities of the new moon that I outlined will come into play.
Now let’s talk about the position of Mars, which will be touring Leo, you sixth house. That immediately tells me you’ve had a heavy workload. Friends may be posting pictures on Instagram and Twitter of fun parties in the Hamptons, Europe, or in pretty bars and restaurants in your city while you’ll be burning the midnight oil.
July and August will bring you many projects, but you will be happy to have a job you love and to be in demand. You will also be happy that your job allows you to showcase your talents. You will have your chance to have more carefree time, but just not now, in July, nor in most of August. Shortly after Mars leaves Leo, your work-a-day sector, on July 29, the new moon in Leo on August 8 will bring more assignments. You may have a seasonal type of job that a makes you busier in mid-year months than most people. With so many people out of work due to the pandemic, you will be the exception, and you will be able to build savings, if that is a goal.
Here is why I feel you will enjoy the work you’ll do in July. Mars is considered a sexy cosmic lover when combined with Venus in the same sign. Together they set off sparks of love, but the problem is they are rarely together. They typically can only manage to meet once a year—and this year they will meet on July 13 in Leo, your house of work projects!
While it is possible Venus and Mars will set off a love relationship at work with a co-worker who is on your level or a subordinate (you certainly will be at the office a lot), I tend to believe that is not likely. Venus is linked to profits and money too, not only love and happiness, so I think Venus will see to it that you have plenty of work and will be paid well. Many Pisces are self-employed or always have side projects going on because Pisces has Aries on the cusp of your second house of earned income. Aries is the sign of the self-starting entrepreneur. Mars is Aries’ ruler and is in your work-a-day sector, so your work will bring you good money.
The full moon will occur in your hidden twelfth house July 23 in Aquarius, 1 degree. At this time, you may feel in need of rest and privacy. If you have been seeing a therapist about something that has troubled you, you may have a breakthrough at this time. Similarly, if you have a medical concern that requires a procedure, you may do it within five days of the full moon, July 23. The twelfth house is associated with healing, so it would be the right time to do it so that you can enter your Emerald Year (when Jupiter is in Pisces)—2022—in good shape.
This full moon will also be a superb time to withdraw into solitude to work on a creative project. Neptune, your ruler and planet that is the patron of the arts, and Mercury will work beautifully together.
Near month’s end, Mars will enter Virgo on July 29, joining Venus already there and waiting for Mars in your seventh house of marriage and committed partnerships. At that time, your workload will simmer down, and you will be able to lavish attention on your spouse or sweetheart. While the new moon August 8 will bring more projects, you will have time in between to feel rested. You have an enviable chart, dear Pisces.
This is due to be a month of breakthroughs, for you still currently have Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, in Pisces, which entered your sign on May 13 and will remain until July 28. No worries, though, for Jupiter will be back to Pisces on December 28 of this year to stay until May 10, and then will re-enter Pisces on October 28 to December 20, 2022. This month, it is the Pisces who were born February 19-24 that will benefit most, but every Pisces, of every birthday, will benefit as Jupiter orbits into later degrees in 2022.
Additionally, if you have a natal planet in early degrees (0 to 2 degrees) of Pisces, Cancer, or Scorpio, Jupiter will notice and beam glimmering rays to that natal planet, too. In truth, every Pisces is due to have a great month.
Because Jupiter only visits your sign every 12 years, you will feel Jupiter’s rare and wonderful glow simply because it’s so new. You may notice you are getting lucky breaks in career, more money is coming in, and even your social life is picking up. This month, you will feel optimistic and have a spring in your step, and even when things go wrong, you’ll laugh.
At least Mercury is no longer retrograde as it was during most of last month (June), so you won’t have Mercury’s delays, changes of direction, and general chaos that was common in June. Now that Mercury went direct on June 22, you will have an open road with all blue skies overhead.
The new moon of July 9 was made with you in mind. It will appear in the divine-for-you water sign of Cancer, your house of true love. If you are single, this new moon will help you find love, so when you leave the house, always look your best. It’s time to ditch those sweats and elevate your look. Uranus, the planet of all things that are unanticipated, will send a beam to the Sun and new moon to sprinkle you with happy romantic surprises that seem to come out of the blue. Cupid and his little fleet of cherubic angels, armed with tiny bows and arrows, will be on duty watching out just for you!
This new moon of July 9 may bring a chance to take a short, quick trip, for Uranus is based in your travel house. Choose a pretty setting at a seashore to help you unwind and enjoy life, away from everyday pressures. You will want to enjoy a touch of luxury, for that’s the kind of setting Jupiter in Pisces had in mind for you. Along with support from Uranus, you will have support from your ruler Neptune, too.
Neptune happens to be in Pisces as well, making Neptune’s influence super strong, so Neptune will work hard to give you inspiration from the person you love (or soon will meet). You may also feel deep love for your children and feel that love returned by them in equal measure.
A new creative project may come up just after July 9 too, as a result of this new moon, and if so, it will allow you to showcase a previously unseen side your talent.
All month, your office will be bustling with ringing phones, email overflowing, and Zoom meetings. New business will flow in. You will have to juggle and take rest periods during the first half of July as best you can for Saturn will oppose Mars and put pressure on you to work faster and more efficiently. Make your health a priority, for all this will put you under strain at work, especially in the first half of the month.
Later, the full moon in Aquarius of July 23 will light your twelfth house, so you may feel less energetic, or you may have more frequent interaction with medical personnel. You may consult a doctor to fix a problem you’ve coped with for some time and now feel you’re ready to be done with it. Or you may be a steady presence for a hospitalized female relative or friend and become their advocate while they recover from a procedure.
The place of the full moon is your twelfth house, which rules your subconscious mind, so if you have been seeing a professional therapist, you may have a psychological breakthrough when you attain a new perspective. You seem ready to confront a subject you may have avoided for a long time. When you do confront it, it will be a relief.
The twelfth house, where the full moon of July 23 will fall, is considered a part of the chart that reflects the bottomless well of your creativity. The caveat is that you screen out the cacophony of voices and opinions of those around you and go off by yourself to think and create. Plumb the depths of your subconscious, and you will be able to express or create work of great artistic value.
Meanwhile, Venus will quietly tiptoe into Virgo, your seventh house of commitment and marriage, on July 21 until August 15. Mars will enter Virgo too, a few days later, on July 29, to remain until September 14. Although Mars and Venus won’t make a conjunction in Virgo, having both in your marriage and established partnership sector is a sweet development. This pair is a sexy one, and their job is to increase the sparks of love and affection. By month’s end, your work life will simmer down and be less demanding, giving you more time for your spouse or partner.
You might decide to take a little trip with your one-and-only to spend quality time together. Plan now, but set your trip to be next month, just after the new moon of Sunday, August 8. Leave on Sunday and return the following Sunday for a glorious week together. This vibration will, admittedly, favor attached Pisces. For single Pisces, the new moon of July 9 will be your friend, as outlined above. As you see, all Pisces are loving and being loved in July and August.
