Your January 2025 Horoscope for Pisces
by Susan MillerLast month flew by because you had so much to do. Mars in Leo energized your sixth house, so your focus was on work, but also on your personal life, perhaps to get ready for the holidays. Your to-do list grew. Things didn’t always move along smoothly because Mercury was retrograde from November 25 to December 15. Then Mercury’s brother Mars followed suit and went retrograde on December 6, and he won’t go direct until February 23.
Mercury rules all the facts and figures of life. In other words, Mercury covers the daily communication we all use to keep the world spinning. Mars, however, has a different function—he is pure energy, akin to the gas in your car that makes it go, or the gas in your stove that you use to cook your dinner. Mars also teaches us all how to compete well, and he provides the motivation and determination to tackle big goals. When Mars is retrograde, it’s hard to convince anyone to follow your idea—whether that be your boss, client, or even your spouse. You will have to make up for the energy Mars is not providing you, and that takes more time and possibly requires you to spend more money.
Mercury typically goes retrograde three time a year for three and a half weeks, so you are used to that, but Mars only retrogrades every two years for a period of between eight and 11 weeks. As you enter January, Mercury is all done retrograding and back to super strength. Mars, however, won’t stop retrograding until February 23. No planet snaps back to full strength the minute it turns direct for it needs time to get back to the mathematical degrees when it first went retrograde. Mars will gradually get improve in potency day by day, and by May 1 be fully back to Superman strength.
