A Note from Susan Miller
April will be a good, cheerful, and productive month until we get to the monster full moon in Scorpio on April 26. I know I am writing this on April 1, April Fool’s Day, and I wish I were pranking you. This full moon will be no joke.
I am concerned about this full moon because Uranus, the planet of all things unexpected, will directly oppose the full moon in Scorpio on April 26. Uranus will be conjunct the Sun in Taurus, and Venus and Mercury will be in Taurus as well, making those planets unstable, too.
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
You will start the month thinking about money, which is unusual for you. You would much rather be working on a creative project than collecting receipts to send to your accountant or spending time sending bills, but this month will strongly emphasize your earning potential, and you may just leave the month richer than when you came in.
The full moon of last month, March 28 in Libra, 8 degrees, was a sweet one, and you may have earned quite a large commission, royalty, bonus, or a handsome fee at the time, or heard good news about an inheritance, a contest you entered, an approval for a bank loan or mortgage, infusion of venture capital, or a government stimulus check, as some examples. News should have been superb because that full moon in Libra, your eighth house of other people’s money, reached out to stabilizing Saturn and active Mars.
Mars is in a strong position and moving through your home sector (fourth house), acting as a front man for more energy to be directed to this area of your life. You may be moving, decorating, doing a thorough cleaning, ordering repairs, landscaping your property, refurbishing or renovating parts of your house, buying a piece of new furniture, or finding a roommate to share your space. Alternatively, a family member may not be feeling well and will need an advocate—that would be you. Or you simply may choose to spend more time with your family—both of your parents or your children. Home and family will be the priority until April 23.
Now let’s turn to the new moon of April 11 in Aries, 22 degrees, and the days and weeks to follow. This new moon will be one of your best to find ways to make more money. All the heavenly bodies clustering in your second house of earned income will be in Aries, the sign that is associated with entrepreneurial activities. That emphasis on Aries suggests you will be working on something so new, few people have experience working in this realm as you will on this project. Jupiter is in Aquarius, so it might have something to do with digital forms as Aquarius is linked to all that is electricity and electronics.
This is a fabulous new moon, one that suggests someone is willing to pay you quite a generous sum for your ideas, futuristic thinking, beautiful goods, or unique services. Jupiter will be in ideal angle to the Sun and new moon in your second house of earned income—it does not get much better than this! Also, Mars will be friendly to the Sun and new moon, and because Mars takes the leading role with a new moon in Aries, it means a home related project, or one related to a family member, will work out, and you’ll have the money you need to start to improve your living quarters or to help a parent financially.
Mars will also be in direct communication with Saturn at this new moon, translating actions that will lead to a long-term sense of security. This is such a good new moon, so pitch new business and recontact former customers. This would be the ideal time to launch an advertising or publicity campaign.
One of your best days of the month will be April 16 when Mars, the action planet of courage, will reach out to Jupiter, giver of gifts and luck. In this case, your actions on this day could easily lead to a happy ending regarding home and family. If you need money from your parents to help you with a down payment on a house or condo, ask on this day. You may be pleasantly surprised with the answer.
On April 23, Mars will move into Cancer, a divine place for Mars to be for you, and fill your fifth house of true love from April 23 to June 11, and all the emphasis on finances and home matters will fade. It will be time to enjoy love and carefree fun.
Mercury will go retrograde at the end of next month, May 29 until June 11, so do your best to get things done in the first three weeks of this month. (There will be a difficult full moon on April 26, so plan to get things done by April 21, and put off the rest until the first weeks of May. I will get back to this full moon later, but there is too much to tell you about now, about April in mid-month, a glorious time.) If you need to sign a contract, do it as soon as possible, but avoid the entire string of days from April 22 to 30. Do not sign anything during those days or agree verbally to an idea or plan. As you see, this is a month of high contrast.
You will have two dazzling days to circle on your calendar, so find a way to use them.
The first will be April 15 when a meeting could lead to profit. The mighty Sun, the star that gives us life, will receive beams from Jupiter. A VIP behind the scenes who believes in you will help you get ahead. You may never find out the identity of that person, or if you do, you will be asked to keep their name confidential. That’s because if news gets out, others will want the same beneficial treatment, but you deserve it—they might not.
The second date will be April 16, an especially rare day, when Mars will contact Jupiter. Mars will still be circulating in your fourth house of home, indicating that you’ll have more interaction with your family than usual.
Your most productive time this month will be during the first three weeks, until April 23. One of the reasons is that you will be coming close to that difficult full moon after this date, and you will need to clear your schedule so that you can move easily in any direction, unhindered by previous commitments. Let’s talk about that monster full moon now.
On April 26, there will be a full moon at 7 degrees in Scorpio, your ninth house. Something is reaching a culmination, climax, or full boil. Uranus, the planet of completely unexpected developments, will directly oppose the full moon, which can be a very jarring aspect. There will be some sort of news from a distance—it could be overseas or from a person who was born outside your country but is now a citizen in your country. A publishing or broadcasting project may go off the rails, or a legal matter may come up. If you have been dealing with a legal matter, things will go in an unexpected direction. Matters related to college or graduate school might not go well either—avoid taking any big qualifying exam, and avoid defending your thesis at this time.
The odd part about how tension-producing this full moon will be is that it is in a compatible water sign like yours, so if anyone can find a way to benefit from the chaos that might be created at this full moon, it’s you.
If your birthday falls on February 26, plus or minus five days, you can find a way to turn the tables on events. You will have to remain resourceful and not let any news get the better of you. The same upbeat forecast would be true for you if you have Pisces rising or your natal moon at 7 degrees, plus or minus five degrees—you can outsmart events. If you have a natal planet in Pisces, Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus, Virgo, or Capricorn within five degrees of 7 degrees, that planet will be lit up.
On April 23, Mars will move into Cancer, a divine place for Mars to be for you, and fill your fifth house of true love from April 23 to June 11, and all the emphasis on finances and home matters will fade. It will be time to enjoy love and carefree fun. If you are attached, your partner will give you much more attention and vice versa—love grows. If you are single, stay optimistic and look your best. Cupid and his little fleet of angels will be hovering, ready to shoot their tiny bow and arrows to get love started for you. It could happen anywhere. Just when you thought it couldn’t happen, it can, and it does, all the time.
Venus will enter this same area throughout the month of June, June 2 to June 26, sure to make that month a lively social time for you. Get through April 26, and everything will seem like a piece of cake.
Dear Pisces, you love to engage in creative pursuits, and you always have many expressive projects going at once, for your rich imagination requires steady outlets. This month, however, it seems you will be riveted on financial matters through the first three weeks of April. Your attention to money matters seems to have first come up last month at the full moon just prior to your entry into April, on March 28. It looks as though you were busy getting your tax receipts ready for your accountant, and if you did focus on taxes, you may have finished that task.
You may have also sent a large check to polish off a credit card bill or paid your monthly portion toward a student loan. It looks like money went out, but a large sum may have come in, too. All full moons have an area of influence of an additional five days as they wane, so you may still hear good news about your financial standing in the first days of April. At that full moon money went out, but it seems greater sums of money came in to you, and that’s just how you like it.
You have reason for cheer—the new moon of April 11 in Aries will bring you more opportunities to find a fresh supply of money, one that can provide you with financial security as you move forward. By all means, ask for a raise just after this new moon arrives for it will be one of the best times of the year for you to get approved for one. If you are interviewing for a new job, the talks are now getting more serious, and the topic of compensation for you will come up. You will be asked what your salary requirements are, and here you should not be shy—speak up, for the force is with you.
This new moon of April 11 is an exciting one, for it will be in Aries, suggesting you will be working as a pioneer in a new area, possibly related to high tech. You might be working with a team you hired to build your idea for an app, or you may begin a podcast series. Whatever you do, it will be exciting and new, for the place of the new moon and her entourage of planets will be in Aries, ruling the buds on the tree and the start of the blooming of flowers. Said another way, Aries epitomizes the beginning of life and all entrepreneurial ideas and efforts. This new moon will light your earned income sector, so actions you take just after the new moon appears suggest you can get more income or make a good profit either immediately or later.
Circle two days on your calendar: The first is April 15, when the Sun will align with Jupiter—60 degrees apart—denoting an opportunity to work on a project with hefty profit potential, but to be sure, check with your financial advisor.
The following day, April 16, will be equally auspicious, with Mars in sync with Jupiter—investments and improvements you make in real estate you own should pay off. Also, one of your parents may be very helpful to you on April 16, so if you need money, you might want to gently ask. Your parents love you and believe in you—you may get the loan or gift of cash you need. You may be working on a renovation or purchase of a condo or house due to Mars in Gemini until April 23—worthy goals your family might want to help you secure for yourself.
The full moon in Scorpio on April 26 will fall in your ninth house of the media (including publishing, broadcasting, and the digital world), but an unusual problem is likely to surface and test your ability to quickly find a solution to something you’ve never faced before. You will need to show resourcefulness and ingenuity. This full moon is a difficult one because Uranus in Taurus will oppose the full moon in Scorpio and at the same time conjoin the Sun in Taurus. A project you are working on, and nearing a finish, could bring a sudden sign that things are going all wrong. You may need to have all hands on deck to solve the unexpected situation.
Do not sign papers or give a verbal promise on or near this difficult full moon, April 26. Put off signing papers until May.
If you do not work in the media, there are other areas to monitor: legal matters, news regarding academia (as student or researcher), and keep an eye on your international relationships abroad. Any of these areas could go haywire. If you are foreign born, do not have your immigration interview near April 26, and it might be best not to do any kind of interview as the journalist may have an agenda, and it’s one you would be upset to discover.
Indeed, keep a low profile at the time of the full moon April 26, plus five days. Once you make a decision of how to remedy the situation, things will calm down fairly soon, for that’s the way full moons act. You can courageously and confidently enter next month—May—a lovely month with no trap doors or mean, evil people lurking behind potted plants and shrubs. May will be a normal, calm, upbeat month that you will like very much.
