A Note from Susan Miller
February will be quiet an exciting month, dotted with special days to bring you a variety of opportunities and good news. January was difficult for some readers, but February should be a happy little month packed full of twinkling stars to lift your spirits.
My Astrology Zone pop-up shop appeared in Bloomingdale’s last month and will run through March 1. This is a highpoint of my career, and a project I have thoroughly enjoyed. I worked with many of Bloomingdale’s executives in many departments since last summer—the resulting shop is breathtakingly beautiful. My store is part of the “Carousel” concept found on the main floor in four of their stores.
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
All of last year, you had the most extraordinary aspects for career advancement. If you were part of the workforce, you saw great progress. Yet nothing prepared you for the dazzling pace you achieved from the end of November 2019 through today. Let’s look at what was going on in your prestigious tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement.
Starting in November 2018, and continuing through last year until December 2, 2019, you hosted Jupiter, the good fortune planet, in your professional advancement sector. It is clear that the universe was intent on giving you a chance to showcase your managerial talents and other skills. It was time for you to be rewarded for your work and experience, as well as the successes you had previously achieved. Jupiter comes by every 12 years, so 2019 was a remarkable year for starting an entirely new career cycle.
Your career was getting the breaks you needed through 2019, but you were so busy doing, you may not have noticed what a powerful year it was for you to get ahead. When Jupiter finally left your professional tenth house in December 2019, after having spent 13 months there, it was not the end of your evolving career ascent to the top—there was more to come. The universe felt you were ready for more responsibility, visibility, influence, and reward, and so set out to give you more opportunities to show what you had in you but previously had no way to demonstrate it.
On November 26, 2019, you had a powerful new moon in the same career sector, your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, which began to set things in motion. The Sun arrived four days earlier, November 22, and remained until December 21, putting a spotlight on you. Meanwhile, Jupiter finished his stay in your career sector in the same month, December 2, 2019. The universe was not done helping you.
Last month, January 3, 2020, you started the New Year with Mars activating the same tenth house of prestigious career advancement. As you start February, Mars has two more weeks to spend in your professional house, until February 16. If there is anyone you need to see, an appearance you need to make, or a product you are getting ready to launch, do it in the first two weeks of February for that would represent ideal timing.
Valentine’s Day… will be outstanding. The transiting moon will be in Scorpio, a sexy, loving place for the moon to be. Also, macho Mars and surprising Uranus will collaborate, and they will make sure that everyone of every marital status will have the chance to feel the sudden thrill of being touched by Cupid’s arrow.
You won’t have Mars again in your lofty professional sector for two more years, not until December 2021. That is why you need to use the first two weeks of February in any way you can imagine to push yourself forward. The good news is that you have finished a lot of work planting seeds in you career over this period, reaching back to November 2018.
You are in line to see an abundant crop come up in your garden, and you won’t have to wait long to see proof that profit is on the way. When Mars leaves Sagittarius, he will move into Capricorn, your eleventh house, from February 16 to March 30. Mars is the timekeeper of the zodiac and, as he orbits in deep space, will align with Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto and unlock their gifts. Finally, you will begin to see the fruits of your labor.
Most students of astrology know the eleventh house (where Mars will travel next) covers your friendships, social activity, and all charitable, community, and humanitarian efforts. The part many astrological students don’t know is that the eleventh house, sitting next to the tenth house, also rules profits made from work you did to develop your career the year prior (2019). I bet you will be pleased when you see the fruits of your labors. The harder and smarter you worked last year, the greater your profits will be now.
I feel your harvest is due to be quite abundant because your solar eleventh house of profit currently contains Saturn (discipline), Pluto (powerful, financially savvy), and Jupiter (generous good fortune). Mars will add energy to this area when he enters on February 16, but after Mars leaves, the other three planets will continue to help you throughout 2020.
Now let’s look at the full moon in Leo 20 degrees due February 8-9 (depending on your time zone). When it comes to work projects, you seem to have a major event culminating at this full moon. You may see your creative project launch, or you may be invited to give a speech or workshop. You may hand in a report, manuscript, thesis, or other project you worked on for weeks or months or see your work published, and your work will be very well received. Why do I say that? I will explain.
Mars, still in your house of prestigious career victory, will send a powerful beam to the full moon of February 8-9 from your eleventh house of community, and people who love your work will give you thundering applause. I believe if you are making an appearance, profits will flow from your event or from the sale of your products if you introduce them to those who come on that weekend. If you are self-employed and are up for a project, this full moon could help you to land it—you seem to be presenting yourself very professionally.
By the way, dress well for any interview, presentation, speech, or dramatic event you do on or within four days of this full moon February 8-9—the full moon is in Leo, the sign of royalty and elegance. All eyes will be on you. Uranus, a little bit on the edges, will watch Mars go out of his way to help you do well. Not to be outdone, Uranus will send a sparkler of a beam himself to this full moon, adding to the possibility that you will get a thrilling career surprise over that weekend. No matter what you expect to happen, something else will occur, and it will be better than anything you could have imagined.
Now let’s turn to the new moon in Pisces four degrees on February 23 (plus two weeks). It will be a wonderful birthday certificate from a loving universe. Each month, I tell you about a new or full moon and which part of your life it will energize. When you get to the new moon near your birthday, that new moon is carte blanch, to use any way you please. What is important to you, dear Pisces? You can direct its energy to whatever area you’d love to improve. Watch the phone calls and emails you receive, and watch what happens in the days that closely follow this new moon for clues of what you find exciting.
Pisces are known to be highly creative, and at this new moon, which will be close to Neptune, you will prove this truth 12 times over. Your ability to transmit ideas has never been better. Uranus, the planet of genius and innovation, has recently settled into your third house of communication, which covers all the disciplines associated with the communication arts, namely writing, editing, speaking, coding, pod casting, translating, and researching, so now and in years to come, you can spin a talent in one of these areas into gold.
Any water-sign Pisces planets in your chart will be in continual conversation with the planets currently in earth-sign Capricorn, namely Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto (water and earth are a fertile, harmonious, productive combination), which suggests that you will easily generate new ideas, and friends and new people you meet will spark you to go down new paths. You have an interesting horoscope because your imagination comes from being strongly right brained—you are a master at decoding symbols and gestures, and your mind communicates through pictures, photographs, film music, dance, art, and other non-verbal forms of communication.
Now that you have independent and somewhat rebellious Uranus in your third house of communication, you are showing that you are also skilled with language and analytical left-brain talents. You have it all, dear Pisces, and Uranus will continue to stay with you for six more years, until April 2026, and in so doing, prove to you that you are one of the few that can communicate on two levels, through words or symbols.
There are more exciting things happening for you! Good-fortune Jupiter will be in lovely alignment with Neptune, and this is an exceedingly rare aspect. This is significant because in ancient days, Jupiter was your ruler. In modern days, Neptune is your ruler. Today, astrologers look to both planets to forecast your upcoming opportunities. In years when you have this enchanting configuration, you always tend to do exceedingly well. One bonus will be that these two planets will encourage your imagination to grow by leaps and bounds in ways you’ve not seen before. This aspect has other bonuses, too.
Neptune is in Pisces, your sector of identity and personality (first house), while Jupiter is now in compatible Capricorn, your friendship/community center (eleventh house). Your loving and compassionate way will make you charming to those you meet this year, and you will make many new friends easily. If you are single, among the many new people who will enter your circle, one person may become a romantic interest who might stay in your life a long time, maybe forever. Be optimistic, for you have so many reasons to be excited by life. You are moving into a very fortunate period, where you won’t have to work so hard to see results, and you will be able to enjoy a richer private life too, with a great many inspirational new friends who will spark you to work to achieve your greatest dreams.
These two planets, Neptune and Jupiter, will be in perfect alignment this month on February 20, and then again on July 27 and October 12. However, these two planets need not be in mathematical perfection, as they will be on the three dates listed for you to feel their glow. These two planets move slowly, so they will be within orb (close enough to have you feel their vibrant energies) from now through mid-November.
Let’s talk about romance now. In the first week of the month from February 1 to 7, Venus will be in Pisces. Venus is considered exalted in Pisces, reaching its highest form of beauty. Take advantage of Venus in this divine constellation during the first week of February to buy new things to wear, to refresh your appearance by getting a new hair style, or by having a facial or massage at the spa. Women, experiment with new makeup colors and textures. Both sexes might want a new fragrance. Looking great always helps love along.
Now let’s turn to Valentine’s Day, Friday, February 14, a day that will be outstanding. The transiting moon will be in Scorpio, a sexy, loving place for the moon to be. Also, macho Mars and surprising Uranus will collaborate, and they will make sure that everyone of every marital status will have the chance to feel the sudden thrill of being touched by Cupid’s arrow.
Mars will be in your eleventh house of events, so if you are single, a friend might invite you to a dinner party. If you are not invited to an event, arrange to meet several friends who are also temporarily without a special someone for a dinner after work. Staying home won’t get you anywhere—go out and celebrate life!
If you do have a sweetheart or spouse, you must celebrate your love for each other. Choose an elegant restaurant where you won’t likely run into friends or neighbors. Valentine’s Day is a private day meant to give you time to concentrate on the one you love—it is your enchanted evening.
If you are dating seriously, you might receive (or give) an exciting confession of love, possibly a marriage proposal. Even if that doesn’t happen, you will be inspired and touched by the feelings transmitted by your partner. You are loved, and it shows.
On October 1, 2020, there is a full moon in Aries 9º, not Aquarius 9º. We apologize for this error in our 2020 calendar.
You’ve been near many smiling people lately, and it suggests that you are forming a community of those who love and support you. This is only the beginning, for more people will continue to pour into your life this year. If you are active in social media, your stars show you will attract followers easily, for your popularity will soar this year. You have to be doing something right because others are coming to you like bees to honey.
Your career is blossoming beautifully too, and last month you made huge strides. Mars, in a rare, once-in-two-year visit was touring your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement and will continue to help your career until February 16. If you want a new job, get an appointment immediately. If you need to finish up an agreement, do so quickly while the stars are twinkling so brightly for you.
With planets in your eleventh house, you will reap profits from the work you put into your career in 2019—you will be pleased with your rising income in 2020. Work with vigor and energy—others are listening to what you have to say. Press forward in the first two weeks of February, and then you can let go, relax, and socialize with the many new people being drawn to you.
On the same day that Mars leaves your professional sector, February 16, Mercury will start to retrograde in Pisces, from February 16 to March 9.
The fact that Mercury, planet of communication, will retrograde in your own sign of Pisces indicates this retrograde might affect you more than most. Mercury goes retrograde three times a year for three weeks, always in a different sign. During these periods, it’s not wise to make binding agreements. Finish up talks early in the month, or delay them until March 11 (the day Jupiter, the good fortune planet will contact the Sun). Remember to distance yourself from the start and end dates of the retrograde. (There is always residue debris found on the days right before and after the dates of the retrograde period, which is best to avoid.)
Your big moment of the month will be your birthday new moon in Pisces on February 23 to use as a bountiful gift in any way you please. This one is a shimmering new moon, supportive in so many ways. Investigate offers you get in the days that follow February 23, for one might send you off on a new path, sure to be exciting.
Uranus will send the Sun and new moon his shimmering rays, so future weeks will be filled with surprises that you would have never expected but will be thrilled when they arrive. Mars will also be in perfect alignment with the new moon and Sun, and Mars will give you energy and drive to give to friends and groups. You may decide to work to help a charity you believe in and garner great results.
You are also due to reap the benefits of the alignment of Jupiter and Neptune, which is a rare event. (Neptune takes 165 years to circle the Sun, and Jupiter takes 12 years for the same journey, so you can imagine why it’s so hard to get these two planets in the right spot in the sky.) The reason you are in a position to reap the biggest benefits from this conjunction is that Neptune is your current ruling planet, and Jupiter is your ancient one (before Neptune was discovered).
Modern astrologers look at both when assessing your upcoming opportunities. The job of a ruling planet is to take good care of you, and these two do it exceedingly well. It’s easy to see that in years when Jupiter conjuncts Neptune you tend to do very well and are very happy. The benefits of having Jupiter and Neptune supporting you will be to stimulate your creativity to new heights.
This shimmering, glamorous aspect between Neptune and Jupiter will make precise alignments throughout the year on February 20, July 27, and October 12. Jupiter and Neptune will boost your social life to a vibrant level, and you will enjoy making new friends. Neptune is the planet of dreams, and Jupiter is a planet that enlarges all it touches. Working together, these two planets have the power to bring you to magical, enchanting social settings. You will feel the warmth of the new people who come into your life, and you will easily make friends with some. You may even find a new and lasting romantic interest. Your new friends will support you and go out of their way to help you reach your goals. In 2020, you are starting to see that friends, old and new, are the nectar of your life.
