Your March Horoscope for Libra
You begin the month on a sweet note. Benefic Jupiter will have his annual meeting with your ruling planet Venus on March 1 and 2. After March 2, you will notice that there will still be enough fire and heat from this aspect to extend into Friday, March 3, and Saturday, March 4. This is exciting for everyone of every sign, but you’ll feel it and enjoy it more because Venus is your guardian planet. This year Jupiter and Venus will meet in Aries, your house of close relationships—perfect!
Venus brings opportunities for love, luxury, fun, and romance, and is also associated with money. Good-fortune Jupiter tends to expand everything he touches, so the start of March should be quite wonderful. Use these days for something you want to be sure will turn out to perfectly suit you. Have a first date, schedule a job interview, sign a contract, give a celebratory dinner, go to the spa for a treatment, or buy something new you’ve been longing to own. It’s your time!
The full moon arrives shortly thereafter on March 7, and this full moon will be in Virgo, 17 degrees. This full moon will light your twelfth house of secrets, so you may get closure on an open question, such as whether you got the job, raise, or apartment—whatever question is pending. If nothing is pending, then you may hear someone’s secret, and it might help you make sense of something that has been puzzling you for some time.
It will also be necessary to take a rest during this full moon. You’ve been out and about quite a bit, and this is a wonderful time to slow down and build up your immunity to colds. A full moon in your twelfth house is usually a time to hibernate, beg off social engagements, and treat yourself to more sleep while you unplug the phone. This full moon is special though, as you are likely to receive a completely unexpected message about money that makes you really happy—thanks to a perfect beam sent to the moon directly from Uranus, the planet of surprise. Give any full moon an extra five days of influence, until March 12.
Saturn’s move into Pisces, also on March 7, coincides with this full moon—and will stay until February 2026 (more on that later).
You have been traveling quite a bit since Mars entered Gemini, a lovely place for Mars to be for you (it’s a fellow air sign). In March, Mars is still in this divine-for-you sign. You may need a new suitcase because you’ve been using it so much! Mars rarely stays in one sign as long as he has been in Gemini, and because Gemini blends so well with your Libra Sun, this period must have been enjoyable for you.
Part of the time Mars was in Gemini, Mars was retrograde, from October 30 to January 12. That period was weak for creating progress on all ninth house activities (which I will list in a minute). You may have felt your progress was slow. Mars went direct on January 12, but no planet snaps back to its former strength the minute it goes direct, so it would take Mars until March 15 to be at full power again. Each day since January 12 Mars worked on gaining his former strength, so he is 95 percent there as we enter March. In fact, in all the time you’ve hosted Mars in your ninth house, Mars will be in the strongest shape he has ever been through March.
You still have time left to have extra luck in travel, import-export, higher education, international relationships, legal matters, and anything done in connection with the media. (This list includes all of the subjects covered by the ninth house.)
One sweet by-product of the full moon March 7 is that you might see an influx of unexpected funds.
After spending seven months in Gemini, don’t be sad to see Mars leave, for this action planet will move to Cancer on March 25 and put a big spotlight on your career, from March 25 to May 20. That will be one of your best times of the year to find a new job or be promoted to an impressive new position. If you are anxious to land a new position, concentrate on March 25 to May 20 to find that dream job.
Before you get to March 25, however, you’ll need to get ready for this vital period in 2023. It takes a lot of time to write a beautiful résumé and CV—it cannot be done in a single evening. Ask someone whose opinion you trust to look yours over and make suggestions.
After Mars leaves your prestigious career sector, you will have a sterling new career moon in the same professional area of your chart on July 17, and it will be strong for months, but it will be especially powerful in the 10 days that follow. Don’t go on vacation in July. Use June or August for that.
Now let’s look at Saturn’s monumental move into Pisces, your sixth house. For you, dear Libra, Saturn will move into what astrologers call a cadent house—that means a milder house than where Saturn was previously. In your new sixth house, you will feel this affect your workload. If you change jobs, ask if you will be given an assistant or temporary help from time to time. I feel the answer will, unfortunately, be no. We all work harder when Saturn is in our sixth house, and due to lack of help, each project takes longer and costs more than we anticipate. If you are asked to make a time-money estimate, give yourself 20 percent elasticity. If you get done early, the client will be happy, but if you are right about the estimate, you will be covered.
If you need to hire people while Saturn is in Pisces—March 7, 2023, to February 13, 2026—you will find it hard to come by qualified candidates. You will need to rely on friends to find your recruits—rely on their recommendations. If you’re occasionally sent a résumé from an applicant, save it, and keep the résumés of applicants you dismissed after hiring your present personnel, too—there may be someone in that file who would work out better than you would have assumed if your present person leaves.
Having Saturn in your sixth house is not considered to be a robust place to promote health. You might be overworked, so make time to go to the gym or to play sports. Be sure to get enough sleep, and eat a nutritious diet.
You will love seeing Saturn leave your fifth house of true love and fun. This has been an astrological oxymoron. The fifth house is where you have fun and enjoy romance and children, but Saturn wanted you to work and not have much leisure time. Saturn is known to cause separations or isolation, so your sweetheart may have had to travel a lot, go to a university in another region, or spend a long time opening an office in a foreign country.
If you hoped to conceive a child, you may have had difficulty, and if you did conceive, it might have taken time—or you may have had to enlist the help of a fertility specialist. Now that Saturn is leaving Aquarius, your fifth house, life will seem lighter, breezier, and much more fun. If you’re single, genuine love will be easier to find, and you may get your wish to have a baby. Saturn won’t return to the solar fifth house of your horoscope again until January 2050 to January 2053.
Remarkably, Pluto will move into Aquarius this month to take Saturn’s place, but only for a little preview of Pluto’s much longer stay, to begin next year. Pluto will enter on March 23 and leave June 11, when it will fall back into Capricorn. Next year, Pluto will re-enter Aquarius on January 20, 2024, and remain until January 19, 2044, a period of 20 years.
Pluto is known to refresh and revitalize the part of your chart he visits. In your case, you could be transformed by love and enter into quite a passionate, intense phase. If you don’t have children, you may decide to have a baby and see your life transformed, or if you have a child, you could find a talent in him or her that you would like to have developed with lessons. Your own creativity is covered by your fifth house too, and with Pluto entering this house for 20 years, you may find your true calling and create some of the best work you’ve ever turned out—better than you ever thought you were capable of producing. Pluto is associated with power and money—you may do exceedingly well, or your child might. This is not a mutually exclusive trend, so you may both rise in status in a way you never thought possible.
Pluto is strong minded but not like Saturn who is more of a drill sergeant. Pluto in Aquarius will perfectly support your Libra Sun or Libra rising sign, especially when Pluto makes contact with the degrees of either one. This year, only those Libras born at 0 or 1 degree (and possibly 2 degrees) will feel this influence (those born on September 23 or 24), but in time, every Libra will notice this rejuvenating effect.
Now let’s turn to the new moon in Aries, 1 degree, due March 21. This will light your seventh house of serious commitment in marriage or business partnerships and collaborations. In love, you may get engaged, or if you are already married, you might set a goal with your other half that you can work on together. In business, you may be joining forces with a partner, collaborator, or consultant, such as an agent, publicist, or new accountant, as some examples. Or if you are self-employed, you may be working on a deal with a new client you will consult.
This is a big area for you for two reasons. First, you still are hosting Jupiter, the good-fortune planet, in your seventh house of committed contractual relationships—which includes marriage. Second, this new moon will be important because there will be a second new moon next month in Aries as well, when it will fall at 29 degrees in this same part of your chart. That will not only be a new moon but also a solar eclipse, so it is due to bring news. Luckily, it will be a friendly new moon, so that news should be positive. Pluto will be quite supportive, which is a power of the greatest intensity—family may be the source of your happy news or possibly good fortune.
Having two new moons in the same sign, one right after the other, is somewhat unusual, and it does point to this part of your chart being a major hub of activity now and in April. Jupiter will leave Aries, your seventh house of committed partnerships and marriage (where it is now), on May 16, having been in this area of your chart for much of last year, too. Now that Jupiter is in his final days, if you want to join forces with someone important to you, do it before Jupiter leaves. If you are currently in a close, committed relationship in love or business, design a goal to work on before Jupiter leaves on May 16. Hope to snag an important partnership promotion? The goal is the same—do it now.
Keep in mind that Mercury will go retrograde next month from April 21 to May 14, and you won’t want to get tangled up in a Mercury retrograde period if you and your partner are making promises to each other. Act with purpose, and move things along while all the planets are working to help you.
Near the very end of the month, your ruling planet Venus will receive a playful beam from Uranus, making for a charming evening on Thursday, March 30. If you are single, love will be in the air—look your best because Cupid and his little fleet of cherubs will be out and about on a mission to help you find love. If you have found your one truelove, then celebrate your affection with a wonderful dinner out, and flirt with each other like when you first met.
SUMMARY
As a Libra, your sign is considered the marriage sign of the zodiac, and ever since Jupiter re-entered Aries, where it was for several months last year, you are the sign most likely to marry. If you are already married, you are the sign most likely to benefit from your happy, prosperous union. Not only is marriage blessed but also all partnerships for you this year, including close business collaborations, until Jupiter leaves his position in Aries in two months on May 16.
This month starts out with a particularly shining moment on March 1 when Jupiter in Aries will conjoin with your ruler Venus, also in Aries—a brilliant aspect that portends so well for your happiness by linking your efforts to another person in love or business. Make an initiation on March 1 to align with another person you know well for a future mutual benefit.
Let’s skip ahead to the new moon in Aries on March 21, which could bring an exciting development in your romantic or business partnerships or collaborations. You might get engaged or married, or you might hire a specialist in your business—a new lawyer, accountant, bookkeeper, publicist, headhunter, sales person, advertising director, wedding planner, or other person who would work with you in a close, confidential way to help you accomplish a dream.
Now let’s rewind the tape and look at the full moon in Virgo on March 7. At this full moon, you will need to shore up your health. You may feel your energy falter as you’ve had a busy time ever since the holidays ended. One sweet by-product of this full moon is that you might see an influx of unexpected funds thanks to a beam from Uranus in your eighth house of other people’s money. Funds might emanate from a work project you were given by a client (if you’re self-employed), or the money may stem from your spouse or family.
Another reason to take your health seriously will come from Saturn’s entry into Pisces, your sixth house of health and work, for the first time in 29 years (1993 to 1996 was the last time Saturn was in Pisces). You may want to start a new fitness program or take up a new sport. You might also want to ensure you’re getting maximum nutrition from your everyday diet by taking simple steps to be healthier, such as eschewing processed foods in favor of natural foods that are rich in flavor and nutrients. Saturn is the teacher planet, known to educate by building structure and routine, so you will need to persevere to see results. Saturn also shrinks everything it touches, so you may find you’ll lose weight from the small but important changes you institute now in your diet. Don’t forget to get regular, annual routine medical screenings and tests, too.
Saturn in your sixth house may make it harder for you to hire subordinates at work. You may want to start collecting résumés that are sent to you in case you need to suddenly add more staff to your team. Knowing that it might take longer than you expect to find the right person, you will have to start early, perhaps earlier than you assume would be necessary.
The most exciting development has to do with Pluto’s temporary move to Aquarius on March 23, to stay until June 11. This will be a preview of what’s to come in January 2024, when Pluto returns to your fifth house for 20 years (until January 2044) without interruption. Aquarius is perfectly suited to your Libra Sun, bringing all kinds of blessings to your fifth house of true love, an area of your chart that also rules pregnancy, birth and childcare, and your own expressions of creativity. All areas will glitter brightly, for Pluto is the planet of transformation, and you can be transformed by love for a partner or a baby. You can also direct this powerful energy into imaginative, artistic endeavors. If you have Libra rising at 0 or 1 degree or were born at the start of your sign, September 23 or 24, you will be the first to feel this powerful boost to your personal life.
