Your Horoscope for Libra

Of all the signs, you are the most anxious to take a vacation and flee from everyday routine.

You are in luck too, for the recent new moon that occurred May 30 in Gemini, 9 degrees, must have had you in mind. Spin your compass, dear Libra, because a long-distance trip could easily be on your agenda. The reason for you trip might be for business, if taken prior to June 13, or for pure pleasure if you go in the second half of June, but those are just hints I am getting from your stars this month. You can go for any reason.

Your mind is hungry for new experiences, the reason you’d love to go to a foreign country, even if that country borders yours. Last month Mercury was retrograde for a large part of the month (starting May 10) but is due to go direct on June 3. Plans you make in June have a much better chance to stick without changes, delays, or sudden developments that you may have experienced in May. You can travel while Mercury is retrograde, but when you do, be sure your luggage is tagged and that you bring your computer with you (with the AC cord) to keep occupied if your plane is late.

The new moon that appeared May 30, mere days before the start of June, received unusually strong support from good-fortune, luxury-minded Jupiter, and active, adventurous Mars. You may be given the air ticket as a gift or be able to get your ticket using frequent flier miles. You won’t seem to want a road trip but would rather fly to your location.

If you cannot travel because obligations at work or with small children are keeping you at home, you may be working on a manuscript or a TV segment as a producer, as the opportunity to work with the media is likely. If you don’t work for the media, you may be the subject of a story your publicist placed. Other Libras might satisfy their hunger for something new by taking undergraduate or graduate courses—in person or remotely. Other Libra readers may join a book club and enjoy the discussion at each meeting about the book’s plot.

If your birthday falls on October 1, plus or minus five days, you will enjoy this new moon very much. If you have either Libra rising or your natal moon in Libra within five degrees of 9 degrees, you will also benefit from the May 30 new moon and the options that flow from it in the weeks and months to come. If you have a natal planet from 4 to 14 degrees of Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius, you will hear good news, too.

There is one day I would like you to watch for good news about money—June 11 (or possibly June 10)—when Venus, your ruler, will conjoin Uranus, the planet of surprise, in your eighth house of other people’s money. You might get a check you never expected, which would make you very happy.

You’ve decided June is the ideal month to travel, and happily, the universe agrees. The lure of going to a new setting will be nearly irresistible.

Jupiter arrived in Aries last month on May 10 for the first time in 12 years and entered your marriage/business partnership sector. Jupiter, planet of happiness, will remain here until May 2023, plenty of time to see results. If you are dating, this would be a fabulous time to get engaged or wed. If you are married, your spouse seems to be doing well in life, and your spouse’s prosperity will bring both of you a comforting feeling of financial security. If you haven’t yet seen evidence of your spouse’s good fortune, you soon will. You will enjoy your time together this year, for money will flow in, and you will have the option, possibly this month, to travel to an exciting location together.

Additionally, finding a business partner, agent, or publicist, or partnering with an expert in any specialty will likely work out just as well. For you, joining forces with another person is where the golden nuggets lie.

Jupiter and Mars conjoined on May 29, and by the time you read this in the first days of June, there will still be enough warmth in that conjunction to feel it and take advantage of it. (I flagged this day last month in my May report.) Jupiter is the planet of financial gain, and Mars is the planet of action. This means action leads to profit. Have a big meeting on Friday, June 3, when Mercury will go direct and get chosen for a project that could grow like the beans in Jack and the Beanstalk.

On the full moon June 14 in Sagittarius, 23 degrees, you might get a second chance to travel, this time to a location a little closer to home. Allow a plus or minus five days from June 14. This full moon might urge you to travel to see your sister or brother. Your spouse will want to come along too on all your trips (if you are able to take any) and your spouse or established partner would sprinkle a light, happy tone to your trip. Whether you travel or not, you will want to spend more time with your one-and-only this month, and you will enjoy your time together.

At June 14, plus five days, you may be given a contract to sign because this full moon is set to light your third house of legal agreements. On the plus side, Saturn will make a lovely, stabilizing beam to the Sun as well as to the full moon. Also, Jupiter will make a positive and very comforting signal to Mercury, which rules contracts. Jupiter and Mercury will reach an exact sextile—meaning an opportunity is about to arrive—on June 20, but you will be able to feel this aspect earlier, on June 14, as it moves toward exactness.

Here is the problem, though: Neptune will be challenging both the Sun and full moon in a harsh square aspect, and that means facts may be obscured or completely missing. The contract may have so many holes you could drive a truck through them. This would be no time in an effort to save money to skip calling you lawyer for her advice—not with Neptune busy manufacturing dense fog over the contract. With Saturn trying to put the agreement in concrete, you’d need a strong exit clause in the contract if later things go sideways. I would say wait until the Sun moves far enough away from Neptune to sign. Wait long enough so that Neptune can no longer give you any difficulties—that would be at the new moon in Cancer, June 28.

If you travel over June 14, make sure you have a precise address and maps with you in case GPS fails you. Also, check the weather report to make sure you will not encounter heavy rains and dangerous flash flooding (possible with Neptune going rogue). Alternatively, dense fog could become a hazard, or in high elevations, be aware of heavy snow or ice. Check your weather reports so you can avoid any potentially dangerous situations. With Neptune, anything related to water has to be taken seriously.

I know I had mentioned June 20 as special for finding accord, and it is for making all kinds of agreements but not with Neptune challenging the Sun and full moon. You can feel free to talk about various deal points on June 20, but do not sign. In fact, if you say you will sign later in the month, using that verbiage would be a tacit agreement, the same as signing the paperwork. I have to get you as far away from that Neptune aspect as possible. I can never look at just one aspect—I have to look at all the planets in the sky and see what they are doing in every constellation in a 360-degree circle.

Let’s talk about that new moon of June 28, for it will light your prestigious tenth house of career progress. This will be the most important new moon of 2022 for you to get a promotion or new job—your best chance to reach for the brass ring. Venus, your ruler, will continue to receive strong support from powerhouse Pluto in your home and family sector, suggesting a member of your family might want to make a business introduction for you.

Certain industries would be especially good for you and possibly bring opportunities to make a name for yourself: hospitality (hotels), restaurants, food and beverage, kitchen supplies (think Martha Stewart and other lovely products), pet food, maternity clothing and items for the new mother (including breastfeeding supplies and instruction), technology related to mammogram exams, and all medical care related to the pregnant mother-to-be. Also add charities that cater to those who are malnourished and suffer from food insecurity.

If your birthday falls on October 16, plus or minus five days, you will feel the effects of the June 14 full moon quite directly. The same is true if your natal moon is in Libra or you have Libra rising at 23 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. If you know your chart, look to see if you have a planet within five degrees of 23 degrees in Libra, Gemini, Aquarius, Aries, Leo, or Sagittarius. If you can find one, that planet will be lit up and help you.

Before I go, let’s talk about your chances for enjoying love and romance in June. For that we always look at the cosmic lovers Venus and Mars. (Venus also is your ruler, so by default, Venus holds extra weight over your outlook.) Venus will be in an ideal position while in Gemini, from June 22 to July 17, a lovely position for single and attached Libras. Your charisma will be quite noticeable, and your magnetism will draw others to you. While Venus is so friendly, both men and women Libra readers might want to find ways to improve their appearance—whiten your teeth, have a great haircut, see your dermatologist, and choose a few new things to wear.

Furthermore, the other half of the cosmic lovers is Mars, now in compatible Aries. Mars will coax you to find ways to put spice in your marriage or long-term established relationship. Dear Libra, June is shaping up to be lots of fun.

You’ve decided June is the ideal month to travel, and happily, the universe agrees. The lure of going to a new setting will be nearly irresistible, especially because the new moon that appeared late last month on May 30 in Gemini is coaxing you to pack and quickly go. In fact, Gemini is the double-bodied sign of the Twins, so you may be plotting two trips. Gemini is also the sign of siblings, so you may be buying an air ticket to travel to see your sister or brother.

You also have lots going on with your sweetheart or spouse—this person will soon have very good news to share with you if you haven’t already received it. Additionally, your partner may like the idea of traveling now too, so he or she may want to go with you. If you don’t have a romantic partner, your brilliantly lit the seventh house of serious commitment may instead point to a business partner, collaborator, or expert that you hired, and you may need to travel together to see a client to pitch a new business idea face-to-face, as one example.

Your work life and personal romantic life could be active at the same time—they are not mutually exclusive. It’s clear that this year, 2022, you will have some of your best luck by joining forces with another person with a serious commitment sealed by a contract. A trip taken together for any reason would be worth your time. Your partner appears to be showing quite a bit of entrepreneurial spirit and will be quite successful for you.

The full moon of June 14 will again make you want to leave town to get a change of scene, but you would likely travel a shorter distance, and this time it seems you have a goal to complete. You may want to conclude a deal of some sort, but at this full moon, Neptune will be spinning his web of confusion. Be very clear about what you want to accomplish and where you will stay, and have superb driving directions—relying on GPS is good, but it can only take you so far. It’s been known to be wrong sometimes, and at this full moon, problems could come up. On another note, your sister or brother is again coming up as possibly involved with your travels.

Venus, your ruler, is orbiting close to Uranus on June 11 and may bring a happy surprise about money near this date. The type of money this points to is credit cards, loans, taxes and tax refunds, and money you “shop for,” such as venture capital, a bank loan, business line of credit, or a mortgage. It is hard to say which way things will go when Uranus is involved, but I feel it will be more likely to be thrilling financial news. Let’s think happy thoughts.

If you do decide to travel, it would be best to be back home by month’s end. The new moon of June 28 will light your career sector and bring change and opportunity. Any offers that come up in the days that follow this date will have the power to elevate your career to a new level. Alas, if you are away on vacation and out of touch, someone—a competitor perhaps—may snap up an opportunity. At month’s end, you will have lots of reasons to be back and ready for anything—all of it intriguing.
