Libra Horoscope for August 2022

Your August Horoscope for Libra

Now let’s turn to the thorny moment of the month. No one, of any sign, will be thrilled with the full moon on August 11. What makes this full moon a rough one involves the Sun in Leo and the full moon in Aquarius—both will be at a harsh angle (exact) to Uranus and Mars. This will send turbulence into both of your financial houses. Whether you are dating or married, you may not agree with your partner about money, or if you have a child, you may need to write a large check to care for that child. You seem to have no option but to pay what is due.

Saturn will be close enough to the full moon to press on you and remind you that there are some responsibilities in life we must take on, and some will require sacrifice. Saturn will make you very realistic and practical, even if you would rather not be at this point. Everyone you speak to within five days of this full moon may be walking gingerly on eggs, so be kind.

If anyone needs a restful, quiet, undemanding end of August, it’s you. Ask your mother to care for your children for a few nights while you drive with your spouse or sweetheart to a secluded location. Hopefully, it will be a spot that also offers small, beautiful, highly rated restaurants nearby that serve a choice of delicious cuisines and fine wines. Dining al fresco would be ideal with your sweetheart or spouse, listening to the crickets and taking in the scent of honeysuckle in the evening air. If you live “down under,” find some luxury accommodations with an oversized fireplace where you can cuddle together. You crave rest with a dusting of glamour—you can have it now.Taschen Astrology Book

“Astrology,” published by Taschen, is the title of a book that traces the vibrant visual history of astrology. Taschen is renowned for their rich offering of fine art books. This book has over 400 images depicting various astrological images, going back to the Egyptian temples and extending up to contemporary art. Remarkably, no one has ever published a visual history of how astrology has been depicted through the ages, and it is fascinating to see.

When the author, Andrea Richards, and the editor of this luxury book, Jessica Hundley, called to ask if I would write the foreword to the book, I was honored and humbled. They asked for two paragraphs, but I sent 1,800 words about my love of symbols in astrology. Jessica, the book’s editor, called to tell me she loved what I wrote and that she changing almost nothing.

This is a book you will want to keep in your library for years. Hardcover, it is 6.7 x 9.4 inches and has 520 pages.

The Los Angeles Times lauded this book, writing: “One comes away with an understanding of astrology’s place in history, pop culture, art, mythology and psychology.”

You can buy this book directly from Taschen for $40.00 US.
