A Note from Susan Miller
April will be a good, cheerful, and productive month until we get to the monster full moon in Scorpio on April 26. I know I am writing this on April 1, April Fool’s Day, and I wish I were pranking you. This full moon will be no joke.
I am concerned about this full moon because Uranus, the planet of all things unexpected, will directly oppose the full moon in Scorpio on April 26. Uranus will be conjunct the Sun in Taurus, and Venus and Mercury will be in Taurus as well, making those planets unstable, too.
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
You are entering April in a very happy mood, for you just experienced a full moon late last month on March 28 that fell in Libra, 8 degrees. It was one of the sweetest full moons of the year, so no doubt, you found a way to use it to your full advantage. You may have taken a quick trip, as Mars is still in Gemini, a holdover from last month, which is stimulating your travel sector. Perhaps you were able to get away for several days to a pretty setting to enjoy the sunshine and fresh air.
This full moon in Libra was so special because it looped in the support of Mars in Gemini, your ninth house of travel, and Saturn in Aquarius, your fifth house of fun, leisure, romance, creativity, conception, pregnancy, and fun with children. All three of these heavenly bodies were in air signs, placing the full moon in Libra, 120 degrees from Mars in Gemini, and in the other direction, 120 degrees to Saturn in Aquarius. Closing the gap, Mars was divinely positioned, 120 degrees to Saturn. Altogether, they formed a glittering, golden triangle of harmony in the sky.
Rather than have to focus on one sector or another in your horoscope, the Libra full moon of March 28 allowed you to direct its energy in any way you liked—the result was fantastic. Look at what you did at the end of March for a clue to what truly makes you happy.
Mars entered Gemini last month on March 3, and since then, you’ve been anxious to travel. If you do get away, you’ll have to be smart about where you go. Cities all over the globe are experiencing a fourth wave of the pandemic, so authorities would rather you stay home.
There were other opportunities, aside from travel, and they still exist for you, until Mars leaves Gemini on April 23. You may find superb assignments in publishing or broadcasting or start your website or podcast, for example. Mars will also bring favor in terms of your efforts to get a degree. If you decided to go back to college or graduate school, you likely got a very strong and positive reception from some of the institutions of your choice.
Legal matters tended to go your way too, and it’s still a good time to file a patent or trademark. If you need to bring a suit, the courts are heavily backlogged due to the pandemic, some for many years, so you might want to try negotiating through your lawyer this month. Mars in Gemini is a highly supportive place for you, and as said, Mars will be there until April 23.
Turning to another planetary aspect, a very special day at the start of the month will occur on April 6, when your ruler, Venus (this month in compatible Aries), will reach out to her lover, Mars in Gemini. This has the potential to be a highly romantic day for those Libras who are already attached for Venus will be touring your marriage sector. Libras of any marital status may also get good news about money because Venus rules not only love but money, too.
There will be three sterling days in April to circle on your calendar as dazzling days for special initiations and decisions—those will be April 15, 16, and 17.
Your best time to shop for new things to wear for the coming season will be while Venus remains in Aries, until the day Venus moves to Taurus, April 14. Single Libras will have the best luck in love from April 1 to 13, so if a friend offers to make an introduction to a new romantic interest for you, go for it.
When it comes to your career, you’ll have tons of opportunities in April for Mars will fill your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement with brilliant light. This is a rare visit from Mars, suggesting you’ll bring on another client—a prestigious one, who will help you find more clients, and they would also be prestigious. When news gets around your industry about your success, others will want your services, too. You will have late April, after April 23, and most of May, to start your campaign for more work or a new job.
Mercury will go retrograde from May 29 to June 22. As you see, that cuts into part of your wonderful career phase, where Mars will work hard to help you make a bigger name for yourself. During April and the first three weeks of May, focus on finding completely new job opportunities. As you get to the third week of May, however, you will feel the approaching slowdown of Mercury, as soon as May 21 or so. Even though Mercury won’t turn retrograde until May 29, you will feel Mercury’s haywire effects start to crop up earlier in the month.
That suggests you might want to consider calling present and former clients to suggest a socially-distanced lunch or simply to say hello and thank each one for their present or past support. When Mercury is retrograde, it is always a good idea to return to your past. Experts often cite this rule: 80% of your business comes from 20% of your clients, and those clients have had a strong and comforting effect on your livelihood. Mercury retrograde is the perfect time to thank those who have always believed in you and supported you in the past. Showing appreciation would be a great way to use Mercury retrograde—those clients are special.
Now, let’s look at the new moon in Aries, April 11 at 22 degrees. This will be a powerful moment, for it will light your seventh house of serious, committed partnerships of all kinds. This is Libra’s specialty—bringing people together through introductions, whether to help a friend find her love or to bring two business people together who you feel should know one another—the relationships you help to set up will likely be extremely successful. You’re brilliant at matching people—you were born with real talent in this area, and helping others makes you happy.
This new moon might also be the reason you get engaged this month or move in with your sweetheart. If you are married—and the house that is lighting up is known as the marriage house—you will now have a chance to draw closer to your mate, designing something to look forward to, once the pandemic is over.
At work, you may take on a new agent, manager, publicist, accountant or lawyer, wedding planner, or another person who would work in a collaborative way to help you. On the flip side, if you’re an agent, for example, you could take on a profitable new talent to represent.
If you and your mate have drifted apart, this would be a good time to take a weekend away, leaving your children with grandma, while you carve out private time together. If the problems have been too difficult to untangle on your own, couples therapy might be a good idea for you. Some couples find they can unlock a problem after only a few sessions—some take much longer—but the point is, it may be worth getting a professional therapist’s perspective and insights.
This new moon will have Saturn’s full support from your fifth house. That house, as you may recall, rules love, romance, and plans for children. This suggests that the steps you take in the days and weeks after this new moon arrives have an excellent chance of being long-lasting, adding to your sense of security and happiness. Saturn helps you by urging you to build firm foundations for the future, accomplished by taking on commitment and responsibility. Some examples are getting married or having a child. The fifth house is also known to be where artistic expression is encouraged, so this would also be an ideal time to begin a new creative project.
There will be three sterling days in April to circle on your calendar as dazzling days for special initiations and decisions—those are April 15, 16, and 17. I will tell you about each of these days.
On April 15, good-fortune Jupiter will be in contact with the Sun, when authority figures will favor you, including partners at work, your spouse, or your close, committed sweetheart. One person close to you will be outstandingly helpful to you. This is a day that will simply leave you smiling and humming a happy tune.
I love April 16 even more so. Jupiter will be in perfect “trine” (an aspect of great harmony) with Mars, a wonderful day for love and any efforts toward conception, pregnancy, or care for the children you may have now. It’s a great day for a first date, for your chemistry with the one you meet is likely to sparkle. I also love this day for starting a new venture that will likely lead to profits.
Saturday, April 17, brings Mercury and Jupiter into communication—a sextile—indicating a sweet opportunity for a romantic drive to explore a nearby location and perhaps stay overnight. It’s also an ideal day to focus on your creative writing, sign a contract, give a speech, meet with the press, or kick off an advertising or social media campaign.
Now, I need to tell you about a difficult full moon that is due near month’s end on April 26 in Scorpio at 7 degrees. It will appear in your financial second house of personal earnings and savings. It seems that you are about to receive a piece of financial news that might reflect an unexpected expense. Uranus will conjunct the Sun in your eighth house of other people’s money (ruling student loans, mortgage payments, taxes, credit cards, and also, inheritance, division of property in a divorce or at the end of a marriage, and so forth) and will oppose the tender full moon in your second house of personal money.
This indicates you’ll need to pay someone fairly quickly, and it will be money you never imagined you would have to pay out. Uranus always brings news out of left field, and when Uranus is involved, you can never guess ahead of time what the financial news might be. It’s also possible you will discover identity theft or unauthorized charges on your credit card, and you will have to clear this up immediately.
The news of the full moon might be jarring, and I need you to be ready for that so you don’t feel broadsided by events. Every member of the zodiac will feel this somewhat turbulent full moon, but it will fall in different parts of the chart for each sign. Even if you’re among the lucky ones who will see very little news—it seems hard to believe, but it is possible—know that people around you are likely to be more fragile than usual, and try to give everyone a little space and a lot of empathy. Keep your schedule light, and don’t schedule any important meetings or initiations at month’s end. By all means, sign nothing within five days, plus or minus, of this full moon.
This full moon is not all bad, though, as Mars will still be in the vicinity to reach out to lucky Jupiter in an out-of-sign trine, indicating you might get a stroke of luck regarding work in the eleventh hour. While you may have an expense, elsewhere in your life you will have Mars helping you with your career, and if you do get a new job or project, it will focus on your creative talents—and pay you generously.
You just came through a full moon in Libra last month on March 28 allowing you to focus on your needs and the elements in life that make you truly happy. Until you know what you would like to happen next, the universe will have a hard time helping you materialize your dreams. That is why that full moon was so encouraging, allowing you to map out your path for the coming year.
Next comes the new moon of April 11, and new moons always give you the chance to make a significant fresh start or begin a new chapter in your life, depending on where the new moon appears. This new moon will fall in your opposite sign of Aries, your seventh house, so pay attention to your closest serious relationships in business or love. At the time of this new moon, you will have the Sun, new moon, Mercury, and Venus in your relationship house, and together, they will form a crown of stars, also called a stellium, in Aries. Aries is an adventurous fire sign, so you’ll likely be eager to do something more with a present business or love partner, possibly to formally engage an expert to help you accomplish a special goal.
Aries is associated with entrepreneurial enterprises, so for example, if your goal is to create a new app, you might have interviewed several experienced app developers, and now, you’re ready to formally engage one company to help you. Jupiter is in your truelove sector, sending shimmering golden beams to your committed relationship house, indicating that your relationship has every reason to go as smooth as silk and draw you both closer. It is magical to have good-fortune Jupiter form a link between your love sector and your sector of marriage and commitment. You may get engaged or wed, or at the very least, move in together.
This new moon of April 11 will be in the right position to support you and your impending partnership. If you hope to join forces with someone to accomplish a goal in your personal or public life, your timing would be ideal. It was—and still is—a great time to become engaged. If you’ve been attached for a while, it’s the right time to make decisions that will affect your future together. If you would like to add a baby to your family or do something special for a child you have now, such as send your child to camp or hire a tutor to help boost his or her grades, you could not wish for a better time to do so.
The month ends with a wild full moon, April 26—unpredictable Uranus in Taurus will join the Sun, and together, directly oppose the full moon in Scorpio. This could bring completely unexpected news about your finances. Your outlook is complex—you have Saturn challenging both the Sun and full moon too, indicating possible unexpected expenses related to family or your residence.
At the same time, you have a beam of harmony linking the full moon and Mars in Cancer. Mars will be traveling through your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, so this could mean you’ll soon hear about a major promotion, new job, or a raise. If you do get an expense, it looks like good things are happening in your career to keep your spirits up. Let’s think good thoughts—you have a lot going for you.
