Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
Your mind will be in two places—being home and with family, and getting away on a short vacation. These two areas seem to conflict—to stay or go—but the two might be complementary if you travel to see and perhaps stay with family. Or it might be you will start a home-related mission and take a break at some point to enjoy fresh air and sunshine in a new setting.
Let’s start by examining the new moon August 8 at 16 degrees Leo, your third house of travel. Normally this new moon would be a perfect time to travel, but this new moon is filled with crosscurrents.
Uranus, the planet of all things unexpected, will be on a rampage from his perch in the Taurus constellation and put pressure on Saturn in Aquarius by sending a harsh square (a 90-degree aspect considered a roadblock or obstacle) based in your long-distance travel house, and at the same time, will taunt the Sun and new moon in Leo also in a square aspect in your third house, which also rules travel but of shorter trips.
Uranus, when acting like this, can rattle you and cause all kinds of unexpected difficulties. At the same time, Saturn will directly oppose the new moon and Sun. It seems money will also be a point of consideration, that is, money you would receive or, conversely, money you would have to spend, so finances might become a factor in your decision whether or not to go. Saturn is saying be practical and realistic with the matter you will be dealing with this month. This new moon is a tough one.
