A Note from Susan Miller
April will be a good, cheerful, and productive month until we get to the monster full moon in Scorpio on April 26. I know I am writing this on April 1, April Fool’s Day, and I wish I were pranking you. This full moon will be no joke.
I am concerned about this full moon because Uranus, the planet of all things unexpected, will directly oppose the full moon in Scorpio on April 26. Uranus will be conjunct the Sun in Taurus, and Venus and Mercury will be in Taurus as well, making those planets unstable, too.
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
Life will favor you in the most outstanding way in the first three weeks of April, for Mars, the energy planet, is still in Gemini, a trend that started March 3 and will continue until April 23. Mars has been keeping you very busy, and at times, you may have felt overwhelmed. If any sign can juggle many disparate parts of life at once, it’s you, a multi-tasking, versatile, and adaptable Gemini—and, you’ll likely do just that.
You may have a home or family concern that requires a decision about your living situation or a parent, but before you can do so, it appears you will need more information. Keep gathering your options, because after you have collected a variety, the answer will become obvious.
As you enter April, you are coming off a beautiful full moon in Libra, 8 degrees, that occurred days before the start of April, on March 28. (Give any full moon a plus or minus four days of influence.) This was to be one of the best full moons of the year for everyone. In your case, this full moon lit your fifth house of love, children, creativity, and pleasure. It looks like you may have enjoyed a shot of happiness in one of these areas, and you’re humming a song and smiling.
The reason this full moon was so extraordinary is that it was in Libra, 8 degrees, in ideal “trine” (divine harmony) to Mars in Gemini, your first house of personality, and to Saturn in Aquarius, your ninth house of inspiration. Libra, Gemini, and Aquarius are all air signs that blend beautifully together, and because you are air, they worked hard for you. With Mars supporting you, you likely had courage, energy, and drive, and you can now make long-term decisions that will likely prove pleasing to you, thanks to Saturn.
Full moons bring things to fullness, so you may have had a heavenly episode with someone you’re in an established relationship with or a person you’ve been dating. If you’re single, maybe you met someone new, a person you have good chemistry with and want to know better. Alternatively, you may have had fun with your children or a child that belongs to a friend or relative—no matter, fun is fun, in any which way it comes.
Alternatively, you may have taken an enjoyable trip to enjoy a change of scenery and breathe in the fresh air, allowing you to come home soon after the full moon wanes (within four days), feeling rejuvenated and relaxed.
The effects of this full moon may have brought an important creative project to fruition at the end of March, and you’re proud of how well it came out—you should be! If you did finish a creative project, Saturn’s presence indicates there will be more assignments to come, ones that give you the same kind of joy. Mars’ position suggests you took control over how the project was done, and others agreed with your instincts.
All Gemini may have enjoyed the March 28 full moon, especially if your birthday falls on May 27, plus or minus four days. I had to address this full moon—it was so special that anything you initiated had a good chance of bringing you joy. I can’t see everything in your unique natal chart, but it sure looked like that part of the year stood out for you.
Jupiter and the Sun will make an exact hit on April 15, certainly a great day for you, so use it for an important meeting, presentation, interview, or humanitarian activity, or work on a digital project or hand in a finished manuscript.
Looking ahead to this month, on April 6, Venus and Mars will be in contact, a highly romantic aspect. Mars will be in Gemini, and Venus will be in Aries. Venus will travel through your eleventh house of hopes and wishes, friendship, and fun, so this aspect seems tailor-made for you. Yes, this is a Tuesday, but try to schedule something special on April 6, even if it’s only that you whip up your favorite recipe at home, followed by a movie on Netflix or a regular network.
This seems to be your happy time of the year, for you will see that your friends will play a much larger than usual role in your life, after the new moon appears on April 11 and in the weeks that follow. A new moon in Aries will ask Mars to move front and center, and remarkably, Mars will reach out to Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, positioned at the very top of your chart in your ninth house of foreign people and places. Jupiter’s position indicates that after the new moon, you may be working with a person who was raised in a different culture than you were. That person may be based in your country or a foreign country.
You would not need to travel, as Jupiter is in Aquarius, and that’s the futuristic sign of high technology, which you can use to keep communication flowing smoothly between you. The ninth house also rules college and graduate school, and broadcasting and publishing ventures, including all digital forms, such as podcasts, social media, websites, apps, VR, and AI or augmented AI. As a result of this new moon, legal matters also can be successfully navigated and addressed.
Mars will also be in friendly “sextile” to the new moon and Sun, an aspect that puts both the new moon of April 11 and the Sun 60 degrees away from Mars. This translates into an opportunity for you that may come up as a result of the kindness of a friend. Mars will be in touch with Venus too, at the same time and in the same house as the Sun and new moon—romance could easily become strong for you mid-month, just after April 11 and in the days and weeks to follow. This new moon might set off a lively pace to your social life, even in a pandemic.
Parties are still a bad idea as we are in the middle of a pandemic with no end in sight. Variances keep rearing their ugly heads. Saturn, which rules the lessons we learn in life, is in air-sign Aquarius, covering respiratory conditions. The outcome of this pandemic lies in the actions of everyday people, not the stars. Saturn wants us to play by the rules, and he whacks us when we step off the chalk line.
I was invited to two parties to celebrate the arrival of my nephew’s first baby on March 20. The other invite was to a baby shower with my immediate family and relatives who have kept their guard up for COVID. However, I don’t know the lifestyle of the other guests who will attend these parties. I would never ask you to do something I would not do, so you need to know that I am staying home. You will be hearing from friends, though, by phone, email, and video conference, and they may ask for socially distanced lunches and dinners outdoors, in the warm air. Your friends adore you and would be willing to help you in any way you ask, and they will also cheer you on.
At this new moon, Jupiter will be in the range of a sextile to the Sun—again, indicating sterling opportunity is coming, likely due to the efforts a friend makes on your behalf or through your membership in a club that turns out to be helpful. Jupiter and the Sun will make an exact hit on April 15, certainly a great day for you, so use it for an important meeting, presentation, interview, or humanitarian activity, or work on a digital project or hand in a finished manuscript.
Mars will enter Cancer on April 23 and stay in that sign until June 11. In Cancer, Mars will tour your second house of earned income and possessions. Mars’ presence in that house often causes expenses to rise, possibly unexpectedly. If you have no idea what might come up, then be conservative in your spending, until you see the lay of the land.
The best part of April will come early, in the first three weeks. Do your best to get all your important actions and activities taken care of early in the month, so you can avoid the month’s end.
Your ruler, Mercury, is due to go retrograde at the end of next month from May 29 to June 22 in Cancer, your financial house, so one or two checks that are due you then might be held up, or a check you send out may never be received. If you feel a bill must be paid, you may want to wire it, as the mail will be slow with Mercury retrograde.
Mercury is your ruling planet, so you are more affected by this planet’s retrograde than most. If you need a computer or new smartphone—or any electronic, including kitchen appliances or a car—then get it in the first or second week of April. Stay as far away from May 29 as you can, or wait to buy what you need in early July.
Now, we come to the difficult full moon due on April 26 in Scorpio that will light your sixth house that covers your work assignments, co-workers, team members, and the tools and methods you use to get your job done. The sixth house also has bearing on your health.
The reason I am wary about this full moon of April 26 is because the Sun will be orbiting within 3 degrees of Uranus, making the Sun unstable. Also, at the same time, Uranus will be 180 degrees away from the full moon, found in your sixth house. In April, do not let your guard down on health matters. I am not sure if you will feel this full moon at work or regarding your health, but if you feel ill, be sure to consult a doctor without delay.
At the same time, you will have four planets in your twelfth house of hospitals, nursing homes, assisted care facilities, and physical therapy centers, possibly because a family member or friend is temporarily in one of these places of confinement, and you will want to offer your assistance, cheer, and support. This emphasis on the twelfth house, where the Sun, Uranus, Venus, and Mercury will be based, could mean frequent interaction with medical personnel for yourself, a friend, or a relative.
If you are consulting a professional therapist to work on a matter that has puzzled or hurt your feelings, these planets could suggest a breakthrough in psychotherapy, for the twelfth house (where all these heavenly bodies are visiting) rules your subconscious mind. Watch next month, after the new moon May 11, when you could see special enlightenment. There is also the possibility that you may start therapy at that time. If you have not seen a therapist but have been meaning to do so, then next month, just after May 11, would be the right time to start.
The sixth house, where this jarring and emotional full moon on April 26 will occur, could express its energy in connection with a work assignment that is due. You might have a deadline or staffing problems or experience severe difficulty with your computer. You may be worried about lost data. If you work at a company, ask IT to update all its malware on your system early in April. If you are working on a project, it seems to be centered on writing, editing, or translation.
Not all the aspects to the full moon of April 26 will be difficult—Mars, watching what is going on from his perch in your second house of earned income, will reach out to the Sun and Uranus and help by bringing friendly vibrations. Mars will also be in an out-of-sign perfect trine (diving harmony) to Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, and this may be the luck you need to figure things out in the eleventh hour. At first, things may seem to be going from bad to worse, but Jupiter has a way of bringing good news—even creating a miracle—at the last minute. Keep your spirits up, as this is a complicated full moon, but I feel you have enough working for you to come out sunny-side up.
Alternatively, a project at work or a deal you’ve been negotiating may go haywire, not only because Mercury will be inches away from being retrograde (that only adds a layer of craziness), but because unpredictable Uranus will oppose the moon. The moon rules your finances, so you may get a large expense at this time or see a deal you’ve been working on fall through.
However, don’t lose hope. There’s a chance you can save the day at the end of the month when Mars will be in Cancer at 3 degrees in friendly angle to the full moon in Scorpio at 7 degrees. This is significant (within tolerance) for getting a sweet trine from Mars suggests you might hear about the expense, or you have a good chance of hearing good news about more money coming to you—it’s earned income, not a loan, and that’s good news, too. A friend seems to be instrumental in your luck. So, as you see, money may be going out, but money may be coming in, too.
You are about to enter the most important months of the year for advancing your career. Get ready for your close-up, dear Gemini, because you will be in demand. Many planets will be lining up in your favor and will help you make a name for yourself in this powerful month of April. The most important planet for you will be Mars, continuing his tour of Gemini, a place he entered last month on March 3, for the first time in two years, and he will continue to travel through Gemini until April 23. Use those first weeks of April to your benefit, for in those weeks, you should shine brightest and be able to get the attention of powerful people.
The Sun is now in Aries, your eleventh house of hopes and wishes. Ancient astrologers spoke lovingly of this special part of the chart, meant to bring you joy when you reach a cherished goal.
Near the end of the previous month, March 28, you experienced a tender full moon in Libra, your fifth house of true love—if single, you may have met someone new and intriguing. If you’ve been dating your sweetheart a long time, you may have heard a confession of love or become engaged. That full moon received comforting, stabilizing beams from Saturn, suggesting the person you are smitten with could be the one that will stay with you a long time, possibly forever.
Also, on that Libra full moon March 28, Mars in Gemini reached out to Saturn in Aquarius. Together, those three heavenly bodies formed a golden triangle of harmony, and this had to be a joyous moment for you. Alternatively, news of a pregnancy or birth of a baby (yours, or that of a close relative) could have made you happy and excited. At work, your creative ideas will be receiving all-time high reviews, revealing the wide and impressive range of your imagination. It could have marked a gleeful moment.
Now, in this wonderful mood, the new moon of April 11 will meet with the traveling Sun in your eleventh house of hopes and wishes and will be joined by happiness planet Venus. The new moon will also be met by your guardian planet Mercury in perfect sync with Jupiter, the good fortune planet. Jupiter will perfect the timing of your actions and give you that elusive element of luck just when you need it.
Watch April 15 and 16, when a friend may make a gentle gesture to help you, and this will touch you deeply.
A new moon in Aries, April 11, requires a friendly beam from Mars to make that new moon effective and positive for you. Remarkably, you are about to have Mars’ help, for at mid-month, he will be in a perfect position to protect you and bring opportunities you can take advantage of in April.
You have two consecutive days that will be outstanding this month. On April 15, the Sun will exchange sparkling rays with Jupiter, giving you favor with a VIP. The next day, April 16, action-oriented Mars in Gemini will reach out to good-fortune Jupiter in Aquarius, a day when your determination to reach a goal will be met with a stroke of luck. Stay alert—your timing will be ideal. These are your best days of the month. They will be calling out your name!
Guard your strength and energy as you get closer to the possibly draining full moon in Scorpio, April 26. This full moon will light your sixth house of health and fitness, including all the steps you take to remain healthy. It will be important for you to keep your strength up. Don’t become bored with the pandemic–maintain your safety routine to keep the virus at bay.
That full moon will receive a challenge from unpredictable Uranus, making the time near April 26 quite unstable. You seem to be working hard at the office or lab, racing to finish a major project, but your long hours and hard work may be taking a toll on your health. Knowing this full moon might drain you, start the project early in the month so you don’t run out of time. Even so, there will be plenty of last-minute details to oversee or add, but if you are organized, you should be as cool as a cucumber. We study astrology so we can avoid difficulties—give your body TLC (tender loving care), and your body will return the favor and keep you strong.
