Gemini Horoscope for February 2020

A Note from Susan Miller

february 2020

Dear Reader,

February will be quiet an exciting month, dotted with special days to bring you a variety of opportunities and good news. January was difficult for some readers, but February should be a happy little month packed full of twinkling stars to lift your spirits.

My Astrology Zone pop-up shop appeared in Bloomingdale’s last month and will run through March 1. This is a highpoint of my career, and a project I have thoroughly enjoyed. I worked with many of Bloomingdale’s executives in many departments since last summer—the resulting shop is breathtakingly beautiful. My store is part of the “Carousel” concept found on the main floor in four of their stores.

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

This has the makings of being an exciting month with surprises coming to various parts of your life. You will likely feel vibrant and lucky to be experiencing such a happy period. You seem to be traveling quite a bit now, as demonstrated by the new moon in fellow air-sign Aquarius late last month on January 24. When you read this, you may already be in a distant city or packing to go in February. As a Gemini, few things excite you like the prospect of an upcoming trip, so you will be in your full glory—now and in the weeks ahead. You can travel near or far or find a way to do both. Travel will give you what you need most—excitement and plenty of stimulation from being in different settings.

The full moon of February 8 (or February 9, depending on your time zone) will bring a communication-oriented event to fullness. You may be giving a speech, signing a contract, or finishing a special report, manuscript, or another document. If you write code, you may be ready to show an app you designed to the world, or you might launch an advertising or publicity campaign. Alternatively, you may debut your new podcast series. If you are in graduate school, you could be ready to defend your thesis. Mars, the action planet, will be perfectly angled to the full moon on February 8, so you will be confident and ready to roll into action. This is such a favorable full moon for you!

Also, at this full moon, Neptune, which currently resides in your professional tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement, will be in direct conversation with Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, now in your eighth house of jointly held money. What type of money might be involved? It is the kind of money that would arrive in a bundle, such as a commission, royalty, bonus, inheritance, or as a mortgage, student loan or university financial aid, bank loan, venture capital, or insurance payout for a claim, as some examples. Money from the eighth house tends to come in parcels—large chunks—sporadically. With Neptune linked to Jupiter, this says that your ideas and creativity (Neptune) will directly yield profits (Jupiter). This conversation between the two planets will be in play all year.

Let’s also look at the sign this February 8 full moon falls in—Leo, linked to theatre and entertainment. You may be ready to debut your screenplay or theatrical play to an audience. You may be chosen to be the actor to appear as the star of the show or to do a masterful voiceover for a children’s movie (Leo is associated with little munchkins). Leo also relates to beautiful design and the sophisticated use of color, so you may be completing an artistic project.

If you need to shop for new wardrobe items, this full moon of February 8, plus five days, could be an ideal time to find flattering selections. Because this full moon is in Leo, you may pay a little more than you expected, but you will love what you buy, now and forever. It’s likely to be a quality item, possibly created by a designer.

The planets in their respective orbits through deep space will be in perfect harmony on Valentine’s Day, February 14. If you have someone dear to you, by all means create a plan to celebrate your love. Some dating Geminis will become engaged on this magical night and kiss under a deep blue sky filled with shooting stars.

You’ve had Mars in Sagittarius (partnerships) since January 3. If you were collaborating quite a bit with others since then, you were using Mars the right way. It was time to listen to the ideas of the group and work to support the direction others wish to pursue, even if you feel that’s not the ideal way to go. You will have your turn—the universe is even-handed in letting everyone have a chance. Until February 16, you will need to be a good sport by not trying to be the leader.

If you regularly talk with experts like your agent, publicist, manager, or accountant, for example, or if you have a romantic partner, it seems over the past weeks you have allowed your partner in love or business to take the lead. If so, that’s the perfect way to deal with Mars in Sagittarius.

In love, if you are serious about each other, your partner may have a thrilling surprise for you this month.

Sometimes Mars in the partnership sector (seventh house) can cause a disagreement to surface. Mars will sometimes stir the pot in an effort to clear the air of any submerged feelings of frustration that may have festered. Part of Mars’ job is to cleanse a situation or relationship.

Mars will often find you at one end of the spectrum or the other—very happy or not happy with a partner in one area of your life. I am not saying you will have difficulties, but if you do, Mars will urge you to deal directly with it. I don’t have the natal horoscope that is unique to you, but I can say that if you have already aired a matter that has been on your mind with your partner or soon will, you will likely be happier afterward because you both will have come to a new understanding. If your relationship is strong, it will fare very well under your very positive aspects in February.

If you have not been happy for a long time and realize you are not compatible, you may now be in the process of leaving. The partner in question may pertain to your romantic partner or a partner at work with whom you have a serious one-on-one business relationship.

It’s always better to make a decision rather than to let the universe decide for you. I say that because eclipses are coming in your sign later in the year, and eclipses are in a hurry to make your life productive and happy—the universe does not like to see a relationship languish. Eclipses will occur in Gemini and your opposite sign of Sagittarius (ruling your relationships). You have not had eclipses in Gemini and Sagittarius since 2010 through 2012.

For the most part, the new eclipses due will be beneficial and arrive as a full moon lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 5, a full moon lunar eclipse in Gemini on November 30, and as a new moon solar eclipse in Sagittarius on December 14. Three more eclipses in this series are due next year, in 2021. If you don’t make the decision, the universe will make the choice for you through one or more of the eclipses. That’s not ideal, right? You will want to be in control. As I said, the universe does not tolerate the status quo and will create reasons to move you forward.

Mars will move into Capricorn on February 16 and will remain there until March 30. To say you will be fairly obsessed with money matters is an understatement, for Mars will tour your eighth house of other people’s money. Your expenses will rise during this period, and perhaps you have planned to send a large check to cover an important goal. For example, you may be saving to send your tuition payment to your university or to make an investment in your business (if self-employed). You may be preparing to take a significant trip or buy a house. As you see, you may be expecting this outflow of cash. If you don’t anticipate high-level check writing, be conservative in spending and see how things go.

Mars will join Pluto, Jupiter, and Saturn already in that house, so you will have four major planets in your eighth house of other people’s money, a sector that also rules jointly held funds. It is possible that money has become a bone of contention, either with a spouse or a business partner/collaborator, and that you will need to have a heart-to-heart discussion. If you are self-employed, you may be wondering if one of the companies you do business with will ever pay you because lately, this company has not paid you promptly. Fortunately, you have Jupiter in that same area of the chart protecting your financial interests. You could have your lawyer write a letter to remind the client of their obligation if a lack of payment to you goes on too long.

Alternatively, it may be the opposite situation—that you are quite a money magnet, a wonderful problem to have. You may realize that you need advice how to manage the generous income that will soon be pouring into your bank account. You may want advice on taxes (now that you are heading into a new bracket), how to write a business plan, how to raise money from venture capitalists, or how to qualify for a line of credit from a bank. On the other hand, you may receive a hefty cash advance on a book you will soon begin to write. All this is so exciting.

A packed eighth house of planets might bring up a discussion on medical or dental surgery. The reason surgery relates to this area of the chart (eighth house) is because it is considered a house of transformation, where the surgeon or dentist works to fix what is causing you to suffer so that he or she can transform you to better health. With a well-positioned eighth house of planets, as you have now, you seem to have proper insurance to cover the health procedure or enough savings to cover the costs if you will be treated in your doctor’s office. If the procedure is expensive, you would need to call your insurance provider to be sure of the items covered and what (if anything) is not.

If you talk with your doctor this month, you might decide when to set the date. If the medical problem is not urgent and involves skin, bones, teeth, or specifically the knees, I would put off that surgery until after March 30. Also, hold off on having a face-lift (skin) or any treatments or surgery that change the look of your body shape, such as cold sculpting. (If you are considering this, do research first, as some people have had serious problems with this new procedure. Having information is always wise.)

Ideally, it is best not to have Mars in the sign that rules the body part on which you are considering having medical or dental surgery. Mars is touring Capricorn right now which rules all those areas of the body I listed—skin, teeth, bones, and especially the knees. Mars will leave Capricorn, your eighth house, on March 30.

Also, this month, your ruler Mercury will go retrograde from February 16 until March 9, giving you another reason to hold off on making big decisions if you don’t have to in any area of life, including surgery. However, if you are in an emergency, then, by all means, have the surgery.

As my mother, Little Mom, would have said, the chart shows the condition of the situation—the outcome is always up to you. I would not recommend having elective surgery like a face-lift or elective surgery on the eyes. In an emergency situation, you already have something hurting you that needs immediate attention—in that case, seek the help you need—including surgery, quickly. I was addressing elective surgery where the need to act was not too great.

My publicist once had a major operation on her hip during a Mercury retrograde period. She had come to the point where she could not bear the pain of her damaged hip any longer and made the appointment with her surgeon. The operation turned out well, for she was careful about choosing the right specialist for her concern. This was a situation where she was finally going back to address a medical problem that she had put off for a long time. Don’t be worried if you must have an operation during Mercury retrograde.

The new moon of February 23 in Pisces at four degrees will be an exciting moment of the year. It’s beautifully aspected, one of the best new moons of 2020, and it falls in one of the most powerful places in your chart, namely your professional house of honors, awards, and achievement. You will have four planets in that house by the time of the new moon February 23—the Sun, new moon, your ruler Mercury, and Neptune, the planet of imagination.

The new moon of February 23 will speak directly with Mars, the planet of action, in your eighth house of other people’s money, and this suggests your rising reputation will allow you to ask for higher fees or salary and get it. At the same time, Mercury will be in sync with Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck. You may be negotiating a new position, a fee for a special assignment, or an order for your goods or services. The money on offer is, or soon will be, very generous.

For any new moon in Pisces, Neptune’s position is important to note, for Neptune rules Pisces. Miraculously, Neptune will be in ideal angle to good-fortune Jupiter, telling me you will have an amazing opportunity—something is coming up that will make you the buzz in all the right circles. Friends and critics alike will tell you that you deserve every bit of the adulation you are receiving now. This also suggests you will appear on television or otherwise have your image in the media for all the world to see because Neptune rules the silver image (in this case, of you). If you are self-employed, you can do a publicity, advertising, or social media campaign that would be very effective now.

This new moon will add a jewel to your crown, even though Mercury will be retrograde in Pisces in that very same tenth house of prestigious career advancement. I suspect that an idea you had developed earlier, possibly years ago, that for any number of reasons did not happen at the time, will come up again for a second look with a chance now to proceed. That offer could be very gratifying. Keep in mind that Neptune is in your tenth house of career and is speaking directly to Jupiter on your behalf, which is in your financial house. This indicates your actions and ideas could lead you to quite a bundle of cash.

There is more reason to be excited about your career in the last third of the month. Uranus, the surprise planet, will be in ideal angle to the new moon of February 23, suggesting you may be thunderstruck by a positive, surprise career development that will cause the industry you work in to perceive you in an entirely new light. The opportunity will come out of the blue and thrill you. Uranus and Mars will light the flame—lots will happen.

Down the road, Mars will be heading to your tenth house of fame and honors, from May 12 until June 27. That will be an important period in 2020 for your career advancement. You are receiving clues now of the direction your career is heading, so you must plant seeds, or these glittering aspects will disappear like perfume into the air. If you hope to earn respect and more influence in your industry, you must show the universe your intent and desire. Nothing happens without your participation, but I bet you are eager to showcase your talents and all you have to give the world.

Now let’s turn to love because you have such unusually strong, dazzling aspects on Valentine’s Day, February 14. Here I will address couples, but if you are single, on that day make plans to see friends or go to a party. Don’t stay home. This year, Valentine’s Day falls on a Friday night, perfect for socializing. I have looked at many Valentine’s Days in my life, but this one stands out as extra special.

If you have someone in your life that you love, Valentine’s Day would best be spent by taking a short trip to a lovely country setting. The transiting moon will be in Scorpio, which spells a yearning for privacy, so choose a charming bed-and-breakfast inn situated in or near a forest and also near water, such as a stream, lake, inlet, or babbling brook.

On Valentine’s Day, Venus, the love-me planet, will be in adventuresome Aries, and Mars will still be in Sagittarius, so both will be in lively, vibrant fire signs that blend ideally with your air sign. You will be eager to go somewhere new with your sweetheart or spouse. The fire-sign full moon in Leo on February 8 will still be influential days after it appears and make you long for a touch of luxury. I think you won’t want to travel far, but there will be no need. Look at your options, and you’ll be amazed at what you find.

If you live in the northern hemisphere and it snows where you will be, it will be like living in a dreamlike fairyland of brilliant white with cottages, trees, and mountaintops dusted with a thick layer of confectioner’s sugar. You’ll want to spend the day inside, enjoying privacy and time together, and when you leave your room, it will be for a candlelit dinner for two in a rustic, cozy bistro that is known for its fine food. If the owner has lit a roaring fire in the fireplace, you’ll be all set for an enchanting Valentine’s Day evening.

SUMMARY

This will be an exciting month and very possibly one of your favorites of the year. As you enter February, you still seem busy gathering records to show your accountant, and you may have been working on calculations since last month, January. Your timing is perfect—you will soon be distracted with exciting career developments, and when that happens, you won’t want to deal with paperwork. Meet with your financial adviser, go over your earnings, and see if any tweaks to your portfolio are necessary.

Soon, you will yearn for a break in routine, and you’ll want to take a drive to new surroundings. Happily, the transiting Sun, warming your ninth house of distant travel, will give you interesting choices of where you’d like to go during the first three weeks of February. Additionally, the full moon of February 8 will light your third house of quick, close-by travel. You can have your pick of near or far locations.

It is also possible that you will be in a distant city, but within four days of the February 8 full moon, you will decide to visit a town that’s within easy reach. Or you may opt into what the airlines call an open-jaw flight, where you fly to one city and return from another, flying between the two, making for three trips. As a Gemini, you are known to love to do things in twos, so why not fan out and explore another city while away? Mars will be in ideal angle to the full moon in Leo and will energize and motivate to explore. You seem to have someone accompanying you—it may be your spouse, steady, or if you go for work, a business associate who will call on a client with you.

February will be the very best month of the year for your career. Neptune is now placed in your tenth house of honors, awards, and achievement and will remain in this, your most prestigious career house, until January 2026. Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will receive support from Neptune all month, but especially on February 20, suggesting you could be interviewed for a magazine, Internet story, or on television. Or you may receive an offer from a competitive firm. If you are self-employed, you might also secure a lucrative new assignment from a client that will surely elevate your reputation.

Your biggest moment of the year will come just after the new moon in Pisces on February 23, and this time, your career will be given an even bigger boost. Start preparing for this brilliant new moon in early February so you are ready to interview for a new position with a polished résumé when it arrives. This new moon has astounding support from other planets, including action-planet Mars, now in the perfect spot to motivate you from his perch in your eighth house of other people’s money. This suggests any new position or assignment that you discuss would pay you well.

Meanwhile, Jupiter is currently in your same eighth financial house, so your best way to increase your income is to earn it—not to work on a flat salary, but rather by receiving a performance-based fee, such as through commission, royalty, bonus, or similar basis. The harder you work, the more money you will make—and this year, the money will come to you in buckets.

If you work in music, the arts, or entertainment, your income could be very strong this year because Neptune is the patron planet of the arts, and together with Jupiter will create lots of opportunities for you to shine. It is a rare feature of 2020.

Jupiter (money) and Neptune (creativity) will reach perfect alignment this month on February 20 and again later in 2020, on July 27 and October 12. The point is, however, these two planets need not meet in exact alignment to help you, for they will orbit in significant mathematical closeness from now until mid-November 2020.

Love will be most enchanting from February 7 until March 4, when Venus glides through Aries, a fire sign that blends beautifully with your air-sign element of Gemini. Sexy Mars will collaborate by being in your marriage and commitment sector until February 16. You should have lots of chances to relax with friends and meet new people, which is just your cup of tea.

For the attached Geminis, Valentine’s Day could turn out to be magical. If dating and serious, you may have a dream of an evening—you could become engaged. Married couples can now celebrate a private evening together. Cupid and his little fleet of angels will be flying above, creating quite an enchanting spell for you, dear Gemini. Just you wait and see!
