Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
This will be an extraordinary month, perhaps the most memorable of the year. Jupiter has now set up shop in your seventh house of marriage and partnership, making Gemini the sign most likely to marry in 2019 or to gain from business-based collaborations in the coming year.
What makes this month so special is that the Sun and new moon in Sagittarius at 15 degrees will appear on December 6 and will arrive ceremoniously with benefic Jupiter. Jupiter will spread extraordinary luck and happiness throughout your chart, and all your good fortune will flow from the solid associations you make now with another person. Partnerships are glittering, so there are several ways this could work out for you.
If you have been dating seriously, then this month could be when you may be ready to become engaged or wed. With Jupiter touring your seventh house of marriage, you could not have chosen a better time—in fact, Gemini is the sign most likely to wed happily now or soon. Not ready yet? You will have a full year to tie the knot, until December 2, 2019. If you are already wed, you will likely hear good news from your mate this month. His or her favorable news will benefit you too, so you both have reason to celebrate.
This same new moon will help you professionally. You can now hire a new accountant, lawyer, business manager, publicist, social media manager, advertising agency, writing partner, stylist—you name the job, you will find the expert to help you. The point is, you don’t have to do everything yourself anymore—you will be able to find five-star experts to help you. Start to search with a sense of urgency for the person you need. If you have already found the person to add to your team, you’ll want to sign the person this month, if possible. Mercury will go direct on December 6, making this month a standout after weeks of slowdowns from a host of retrograde planets. You were patient, and here comes the reward—you can move swiftly now, once you get past December 6. As I will tell you later, December 21 would be a perfect day to sign your name on a contract. I will explain why in detail in a moment.
Let’s keep focused on the beneficial effects you will reap, if you team up with another person. If you are an agent or publicist, for example, you, too, will benefit from this dazzling trend. At least one of the artists/talents you have in your stable will do amazingly well for you financially and prove to be in high demand in the marketplace. Your everyday interactions with your talented client will be smooth as silk, too. The benefits of being in a one-on-one relationship will become quite clear after December 6.
You will likely travel with your partner overseas at some point in the coming year, and the experience, whether for personal or professional reasons, will be broadening, and if for business, profitable.
Put a big gold circle around December 21, a day when everything will go your way. Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, will align with Jupiter, an exceedingly rare aspect, making everything you do on this magical day special.
Last month, on November 15, Mars entered Pisces and began to light the highest point in your chart, your tenth house of honors, achievement, and fame. Mars will move through this prestigious part of your chart for all of December. Your career is about to show breathtaking growth and success. Having Mars in such a position is sure to be an enormous benefit for you to garner the attention and admiration you deserve.
Mars takes two years to circle the Sun, so it’s been two years since you’ve had such favor from the Red Planet, considered the most energetic planet in our solar system. The ancient astrologers referred to Mars as the timekeeper of the zodiac, for when he came by a certain part of the chart, things start to happen. Your name will be on the lips of those in your industry and possibly out in the world, too. Arrange for a publicity or an advertising campaign to begin now. You can get your foot into the office of the VIP you hope to see. Life can’t always be this special, but while it is, take full advantage.
December 20 brings a lovely interplay between Uranus and the Sun. Uranus is the planet that brings unexpected news out of the blue. You may assume that the world is settling down for a long winter’s nap, because you will be so close to the holiday, but not so—you may be needed to use your communication skills for a client, quickly. Have your cell phone powered up and your computer near, dear Gemini. You are the wordsmith of the zodiac, so no wonder you are the one they call when they want the best person for the job.
The following day brings one of your favored days of the month, Friday, December 21. On this day, Mercury (now strong, not retrograde) will combine energies with Jupiter in a conjunction. I had advised you not to shop for electronics on Black Friday or Cyber Monday, for both days fell during the Mercury retrograde, but December 21 glitters—I feel you can find several extraordinary bargains on this day.
If you are looking for the right day to sign a contract, hands down, this is the best day of the month, and possibly all of 2018. If you are heading home and need a perfect date to travel without the likelihood of delays, choose December 21.
Gemini is ruled by Mercury, and with Jupiter in perfect alignment, December 21 should be glorious for you on so many levels. Use it for any important intention, for the force will be with you, dear Gemini!
At the full moon in Cancer, one degree, on December 22, you will be thinking about money. You will be polishing off bills, for sure, but you will likely see a surprise influx of income, too. Uranus will be divinely angled to that full moon and Sun, suggesting you’ll be thrilled with the news. The Sun has to do with your ability to communicate superbly, for it rules your third house of writing, editing, proofing, coding, translating, and other communication arts. With the Sun receiving a shimmering beam from Uranus, you may get a last-minute assignment—and it would pay well.
Also at this full moon, Saturn will orbit near the full moon, but not as close as Uranus will be, thank goodness. Saturn will be ten degrees away from the Sun and full moon, which is the far end of the range I use, so this is considered an aspect in wide degree. This suggests you will be writing checks, and while it might be a little painful to do so, you will have the money, so it won’t be too terrible.
I say that because Uranus will be working to help your finances and might send you money out of left field, in a friendly way, so I think you will do fine with this full moon. You may be doing savvy, year-end tax planning to take advantage of legal deductions you could take, according to your accountant’s advice, and it would be the right time to do so. It looks like you may work against the clock to finish a writing project before the end of the year, but you have worked long and hard to get the opportunities that are coming to you now, so you can celebrate later, after you complete the assignment.
New Year’s Eve has a very somber aspect. I can only imagine the weather will be very cold, and there could be heavy snow. If you live in Los Angeles or Athens, South America or Australia, then you are laughing at me—no snow is due. Yet it could be cold, and besides, Saturn brings delays, so you may be held up regardless of the transportation you choose. I would suggest you celebrate at home with the person you love or with one or two friends whom you might invite to stay over in your guest room. Saturn’s heavy presence on New Year’s Eve also suggests you won’t want to spend a lot of money, so having a small celebration at home may just hit the spot for you this year.
As you begin December, your career is shooting off exciting fireworks, for Mars will be circulating in your tenth house of career for the first time in two years. Neptune will be conjunct Mars at the new moon, December 6, suggesting you may be in the news, for Neptune rules the silver image, and in December, the image about to go out into the world seems to be yours.
Mercury is Gemini’s ruler and will retrograde until December 6, but after that, you can make announcements and decisions, confident you won’t change your mind later and that your choice will prove to be the right one for you. If you plan to buy a computer, headphones, or smartphone (or any other expensive electronics) as a gift or for yourself, wait until after December 6, plus a space of as many days as you can muster. It is always wise to leave days between the date Mercury goes direct and the date you actually start to buy electronics, a car, or even airline tickets.
This month you may form a new alliance, possibly in your personal life, such as to become engaged or married, just after the new moon of December 6, for it will light your seventh house of marriage. Your seventh house is essentially a contractual house, where you make a binding promise. This is why marriage falls in this seventh house sector. This same house also rules business partnerships and collaborations, such as the work you’d do with your agent, manager, financial advisor, publicist, writing partner, business partner, or even with an entity, such as with your advertising agency or publisher.
Put a big gold circle around December 21, a day when everything will go your way. Mercury, Gemini’s ruler, will align with Jupiter, an exceedingly rare aspect, making everything you do on this magical day special. Sign a contract, give a promise, shop for a bargain, send in a manuscript, travel near or far, or have an important interview or date night—it’s all up to you. This is your day to spend as you please.
Money will be your main focus at the full moon in Cancer, one degree, on December 22, plus or minus four days. You seem to have to write a hefty check, and it may be somewhat hard to do. On the other hand, Uranus will be in a perfect angle to bolster your income, thanks to a surprise beam from this unpredictable planet. This shows you will likely end up with more money coming in than what you need to send out. Whew!
It is true that Saturn will be near the full moon, December 22, and will oppose the Sun, but mathematically, Saturn is considered far away—ten degrees away. While still within orb, and therefore worthy of comment, it isn’t as strong as it would be if the degrees were closer. You seem to have a writing assignment, or one involving editing or public speaking, and need to be working on that project as the year starts to wind down to a close. It’s possible the assignment is related to the money that comes to you. You will be working hard, but once you get to the last days of December, you seem to be ready to finish it. The pressure will come off immediately.
By New Year’s Eve, Saturn will be conjunct the Sun, a very somber, serious aspect that does not bode well for travel or lighthearted fun. Saturn is considered a frosty, cold planet, and when combined with the Sun, together they create an astrological oxymoron—no warmth, no fun. This aspect suggests difficult weather conditions could change your plans. Additionally, because Saturn will be in your sector of other people’s money, you may not be in the mood to spend any more money this month—you seem to have spent all your cash on gifts.
Instead, Saturn’s position suggests an important project will take center stage, and you will be rushing to finish it. Your entire chart seems to revolve around your evolving career, and this time you should keep your eyes on the ball. You have a tiger by the tail, dear Gemini, and you worked so hard to get to this place—you can’t become distracted. You are standing at the threshold of a great career victory.
These aspects are rare, and as said earlier, you will have the collaborators, partners, and talents in your circle to help you. Finally, the host of retrograde planets is turning direct, and your plans are about to click into place. Keep to the program, and you will have plenty to celebrate in February and March.
On New Year’s Eve, a glass of champagne and several gourmet appetizers or other treats, nibbled on with the one you love or with friends, is all you will need. It is not how much you spend, but who you spend your time with that matters and makes New Year’s Eve special
