Your May 2025 Horoscope for Capricorn

You may have been saving to put a down payment on a house or condo, or you may be ready to close on a new property. You could also be preparing for an important repair or renovation, buying new furniture or bedding, or buying, selling, or renting other property, such as a vacation home.
If you are not fixing up your home or other property, you may be focused on helping a family member financially. That person might be a parent, or you might have a grown son or daughter who needs a financial boost. The heavy drain on your finances has been happening on and off for so long that you may have lost hope that it would ever get better, but it will lighten when Mars leaves Leo on June 17. Your finances will become much more manageable after that date.
Mars has been retrograding back and forth through that financial house, starting on December 6, 2024, to January 6, 2025, and then Mars went back to Leo again on April 17. He will finally leave June 17. There is nothing normal about this—Mars was in a rare, once-in-two-year retrograde from December 6 to February 23. This movement changed Mars’s schedule and is the reason high expenses have continued to come up for you. Even after Mars went direct on February 23, like any planet, he had to work his way back to robust health, and that happened this month on May 2. There is lots of hope for things to improve, dear Capricorn!
There is another point to consider about home and family this month. On May 24 Saturn will enter Aries for the first time since a period from April 1996 to 1999. Saturn teaches us how to tackle goals that only a few years ago might have seemed too big and too hard to achieve. Saturn knows how to bring out your strength and courage so you could do things that you couldn’t quite see yourself taking on previously. This is still another reason I feel you are thinking about your home and family. Besides, Saturn is your ruling planet, so when Saturn moves, that’s headline news for Capricorn.
Saturn will stay in Aries from May 24 to September 1 as a preview of what is to come. On September 1, Saturn will retreat to Pisces, where he had been since March 7, 2023, teaching you how to communicate effectively. Saturn is packing his bags and tying up loose ends before his long-term move to Aries. Saturn will live in Aries and your home and family sector from February 13, 2026, to April 12, 2028.
