Your October 2024 Horoscope for Cancer

You will have Mars in your sign now until November 3. You won’t have to wait two years to have this privilege again, and I will give you all the details why.
Mars will give you the impetus to forge ahead courageously and with determination. You may not be aware of the effect you are having on others, but it is a positive one—you are displaying plenty of energy. Soon you will see that your energy will attract and boost the energy of others who come to interact with you. Mars is the planet that teaches us how to compete effectively, and you seem to have absorbed Mars’ lessons well. Mars imparts confidence, and that is your secret sauce.
Mars will go retrograde—something he does every two years—and will stay retrograde a long time this time, from December 6 to February 23. When Mars retrogrades, it is weak, and since we need Mars in business and athletic situations, we have to work harder to make any kind of progress. As one friend said to me, “It’s hard to get clients to agree to spend on projects and plans when Mars is out of phase…” and I agree.
Mars will begin retrograding in Leo, but on January 6 he will keep retrograding back into Cancer. Even though Mars turns direct on February 23 in Cancer, Mars will have to journey back through the sign and degrees where he initially turned retrograde in order to be strong. Long story short, it will take Mars until April 30 to be well regulated again. That means we will likely have a slow economic outlook from December 2024 through April 2025, and it does not matter which political candidates get into power in the US or elsewhere. It is what it is. Mars retrograde gives us a period to rethink how to best compete in the marketplace.
