by Susan MillerWhen I had Uranus in my twelfth house, one night I had a vivid dream that I was at my bank, sitting with my branch manager, closing one account and opening another while signing papers about identity theft. When I woke up, I could not figure out why I had such a strange dream. That morning my phone was ringing off the hook, and it was a busy day. Later in the evening, I thought about the dream again, and decided to look at my banking app.
There was a check that I never wrote—for a huge, five figure amount—“pending” in my account! The next day I went directly to the bank as soon as it opened, and I was sitting opposite my branch manager, just as I saw in my dream. When I say I hope you will listen to your dreams, I mean it! I caught the grand larceny before the check was fully cleared, so I averted a stressful situation (and my bank did, too). Neither of us lost money. A few weeks later, my intuition also led me to the person who did it.
Uranus in the twelfth house is the perfect placement for a psychiatrist. If that is your profession, you will become quite accurate at understanding your patients’ motivations and underlying fears or anxiety. The twelfth house rules the subconscious mind, and here you can learn to plumb the depths of those who come to you for help. You can be very effective, and you may learn skills you will continue to use well beyond the time Uranus leaves this house in seven years.
Understanding other people’s motivations can be helpful if you work as a detective, with police or FBI agents, or if you work in sales, as some examples. Many doctors study and treat sleep disorders—if that’s you, you will be able to add innovation to your specialty (the twelfth house rules sleep).
The twelfth house also rules confinement—hospitals, physical therapy centers, nursing homes, and even jails. If you are a medical professional who helps patients overcome addiction in rehab centers, your career will grow substantially in the coming years. You may help soldiers who need to overcome post-traumatic stress. Since this house rules prisons, you may be part of a movement that studies and brings innovative reform to how society approaches prisoner rehabilitation.
