Aries Horoscope for July 2019

A Note from Susan Miller

July 2019

Dear Reader,

This will be a big month, for we have two major eclipses, one July 2 in Cancer, and the other July 16 in Capricorn. Eclipses are a big deal in astrology, because they are the most dramatic tool the universe uses to shake us awake and create instant change. If you know your rising sign, read for that sign as well, for both forecasts would apply to you, and you will have a 360-degree picture of the month ahead.

Your Horoscope by Susan Miller

You now are entering July, a month that will bring challenges but will also provide you with information to help plan the road ahead. The headliners of the month are two eclipses—July 2 (in Cancer) and July 16 (in Capricorn)—that will touch your home and career sectors, respectively.

An eclipse appeared in this same family of signs last year, on July 12, 2018, as a solar eclipse (a new moon) in Cancer that was to cause changes in your living situation or regarding a family member. Then, later, on January 5 of this year (2019), we had another eclipse in this series, this time as a solar eclipse in Capricorn, which may have affected your career.

Think back to see if you noticed news on or close to these dates. (An eclipse can affect you one month to the day earlier, plus or minus four days, or one month to the day later, plus or minus four days. Most people feel an eclipse on or within days of the date the eclipse appears.) All eclipses in one family of signs, such as Cancer-Capricorn, are tied together in a theme and joined like pearls on a necklace. Each new eclipse advances the discussion to another level until the family of signs is over—and then, your transformation is complete. This family of eclipses concludes in July 2020. You would not feel all the eclipses in a particular series, but only a few of them, as they fall in different mathematical degrees and need to touch a natal planet, natal moon, or the Sun in your chart.

As said, the July 2 solar eclipse will fall in Cancer, at 11 degrees, and affect your home life, and the lunar eclipse on July 16, at 24 degrees, will create a change or new situation in your career. An eclipse is much stronger than a usual new or full moon and can affect you for six months or more. New moons open doors, so this one suggests new opportunities to improve your living situation will likely come up.

This eclipse will receive good vibrations from Uranus in your second house of earned income. This indicates that any changes you want to make at home might come at a very attractive price. (Uranus, the planet of unanticipated events, is currently based in your financial sector and is positive.) If you are negotiating for the sale or purchase of a house or condo, furniture, or other items for the home, you may find a good deal, one that is better than you anticipated.

On the other hand, this July 2 eclipse will have two difficult aspects associated with it. Your ruler is Mars, and at this point, Uranus and Mars will be at 180-degree loggerheads to each other, a hot aspect that could provoke a sudden argument. This aspect will peak on July 11, but because Uranus moves slowly, you will feel it at the July 2 eclipse.

At the same time, Saturn will oppose the Sun on July 9, and these two will be tight enough mathematically to be felt at the July 2 solar eclipse, as well. This could bring on a feeling of being asked to take on a burdensome responsibility—be careful not to bite off more than you can chew. You might have difficulty juggling both home and work responsibilities at this time.

This will be a big month for you because two eclipses are due, and like always, they usually require adjustments. You will later see that the changes that occurred were necessary and actually will improve your life.

Not every Aries will feel these eclipses. You will feel the July 2 eclipse, a new moon solar eclipse, if you have a natal moon or natal planet at 11 degrees Aries (plus or minus five degrees) or the natal Sun at that degree, and that would be if your birthday falls on March 31, plus or minus five days. If you have a natal planet at 11 degrees Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn, plus or minus four degrees, you will likely feel the effects of this eclipse, too.

The way to skirt around the difficulties is not to sign anything in July. I realize that this is easier said than done. Eclipses bring big life events that you would remember, and it will be hard to avoid making some sort of promise. Keep in mind that verbal agreements are considered the same as signing on the dotted line in astrology. Try to know your limits and don’t overpromise or spend more than you can comfortably afford, taking into account that at times, life can be unpredictable. Here is a good rule of thumb: Do not initiate, but rather, respond to other’s demands.

The Sun, under siege by Saturn at the eclipse, rules your fifth house of truelove, so near July 2, you may have a disagreement with your sweetheart who lives with you. (If you are married, you won’t see an effect because a different part of the chart covers your marriage partner.) Your romantic partner may not like the design decisions you’ve made or the new apartment you chose. Or, you may be having a disagreement with one of your children—if so, let it go. Don’t let money come between you and your child. Be delicate.

There is another possible outcome that I should mention. The July 2 eclipse may bring up a budgetary problem regarding a creative or artistic project, so keep your eye on costs.

As you move forward this month, keep July 9 and July 11 on your radar, too—as mentioned, you will feel the energy of both these dates on July 2, but these two dates are also due to be challenging. Don’t agree to anything, and don’t plan any major initiatives on these days, such as a key meeting.

To add a complication, Mercury will be retrograde, and although this planet of communication and contracts starts to retrograde July 7 (until July 31), you will feel the effects the moment you enter the month. Furthermore, you likely began to feel the delays and crosscurrents of Mercury retrograde last month, beginning June 20. Do not initiate any important ventures or relationships—delay all actions until August. It will be easy to jump to the wrong conclusions because Mercury retrograde scrambles communication, so you will have to go the extra mile to make sure you are picking up the right messages from everyone in your circle.

Now we come to July 16, the emotional full moon lunar eclipse at 24 degrees Capricorn. It appears that a VIP will be leaving your company, and when the announcement comes, everyone will be in shock—no one saw this coming. It seems that it might be a woman, I cannot say for sure, but I can say this person is a top VIP in the company.

At the same time, Pluto will oppose the Sun and conjunct the moon, so you may feel dominated or treated unfairly by a pushy VIP who is a part of management or who is a client. You could feel your reputation is at stake, so you will have to be careful how you handle this episode. Locking horns with this person will be like facing a big, intransigent bull with enormous horns. This person has authority, so you’ll have to think through your strategy before you say anything. Keep your wits about you, as you’ll need a diplomatic yet clever solution. You’ll find this is the hardest eclipse of 2019, but not everyone will feel it. Make it through this one, and you will be home free.

The eclipse of July 16 will most likely deliver news if your birthday falls on April 13-19 or if you have the natal moon or a natal planet in Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn at 24 degrees, plus or minus four degrees.

Eclipses of nearly the same degree as we are experiencing now took place 19 years ago on July 1, 2000, and July 16, 2000. The other planets were not in as quite harsh positions as they are now, but if you can recall what occurred in your life then, you could decode clues of what might come up now.

July is a month that has just about everything, and it also has a second new moon (not an eclipse) on July 31, in Leo, at eight degrees, in your house of truelove. This new moon is sweet, for you will have the Sun, new moon, Venus, and Mars all in your fifth house of truelove. The energy of this new moon will affect you for the first ten days of August, and depending on what you do during that potent period, you could feel the happy influence for days later. Remarkably, Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck, will be in a fine position to that July 31 new moon and send the Sun, new moon, and your ruler, Mars (giving it extra importance), shimmering golden beams. This suggests your personal life is about to become very vibrant, very soon.

If you are single, you will have a wonderful opportunity to meet someone new. It behooves you to circulate as much as possible in the first week of August. I promise, August will be a loving, warm month and have none of the emotional ups and downs that you might feel in July. By August, you will have adjusted to the changes wrought in July.

If you hope to have a baby, this new moon of July 31 in Leo could make your wish come true. (It does not matter if you wish to conceive or adopt, or whether you, your partner, or a surrogate would be the one becoming pregnant.) Since Jupiter is so beautifully supportive, this could be a joyous moment of the month—and of your life.

Uranus will be in hard angle to the Sun, new moon, and Venus, so an expense or untoward news could come up, but it’s temporary. I once had a friend who told me that if the problem is money, it’s not a problem for it can be fixed. Some things in life can’t be fixed, but money difficulties can be. When she first said that to me, I laughed and said to her, of course, you feel that way—you are rich. She looked at me seriously and said, Susan, a child has not died. Money difficulties can be improved. As time went on, I realized she was right.

Neptune will be in fine angle to Pluto and Saturn in your reputation sector at the July 31 new moon, so apparently by late in the month, you will have found ways to counter the pushy person at work, brought to you by the July 16 eclipse, and by month’s end you will have regained your footing. Neptune will also beam to Mercury, stimulating your creative thinking and writing. If you travel at this time—at the very end of July into the first ten days of August—you will have a great vacation, with plenty of fun, and broadening, relaxing experiences. See if you can go!

This will be a big month for you because two eclipses are due, and like always, they usually require adjustments. You will later see that the changes that occurred were necessary and actually will improve your life.

The first one, a solar eclipse in Cancer, due July 2, will involve your home, another property you might own, or a family member. Alternatively, this eclipse could be about your relationship with a person who lives with you or who you hire to help you with some aspect of your home, such as your real estate broker, home designer, architect, housekeeper, or nanny. This eclipse will be a new moon solar eclipse, and these types of eclipses usually open doors and point you in a new direction. You may be moving, making repairs, or putting in a new kitchen or bathroom. You may buy significant pieces of furniture, a rug, or other handsome items for your home.

The first eclipse of July 2 will receive good vibrations from Uranus, currently in your second house of earned income. This indicates that any changes you want to make at home might come at a surprisingly attractive price, and you may feel you have struck a bargain. Or, it might mean that if you are negotiating for the sale or purchase of a house or condo, you may find one at a perfect price, one better than you anticipated.

You will also encounter difficult aspects associated with the July 2 eclipse. Your ruler is Mars, and Uranus and Mars at sharp 180 degree loggerheads will reach a peak on July 11. Uranus moves slowly, and you’ll feel it at eclipse time on July 2.

Also, Saturn will oppose the Sun on July 9, and this aspect will be close enough to be felt July 2, which could bring on a feeling that you have little choice but to agree to a burdensome situation. You might have difficulty juggling home and work responsibilities at this point.

Mercury will be retrograde all month, even though technically it begins to move in apparent backward motion on July 7 until July 31. You started to feel the delays of Mercury as early as June 20 last month. You can easily see that July will be a month of smoke and mirrors, and deciding what is real and what is a dream will not be easy to discern. As the saying goes, when in doubt, do nothing. The fog will lift by August, and you will find decision making easier by then.

The other eclipse, on July 16, a full moon lunar eclipse, will draw your attention to your career. Both eclipses will cut across the bottom and top of your chart, on the angles, which makes them more powerful for you, for they correspond with the north-south, east-west angles of a chart, which are known to be sensitive, powerful points.

You would only feel the July 2 eclipse if you have a natal moon or Sun at 11 degrees Aries, plus or minus five degrees, or you have a natal planet at 11 degrees Aries, Capricorn, Libra, or Cancer, also plus or minus five degrees.

The way to maneuver around all this is not to sign papers this month, if possible. Eclipses do bring big, memorable life events, and it could be challenging to avoid making some sort of promise. Verbal agreements are considered the same as signing on the dotted line in astrology, so keep that in mind. Try to know your limits and don’t overpromise or spend more than you can afford, taking into account that life can, at times, be unpredictable.

The Sun rules your fifth house of truelove, and with Saturn opposed on July 9, you may have a disagreement with your live-in sweetheart. (Marriage falls under a different area of your chart, so if you’re married, you won’t be affected.) Your partner may not like some of your design decisions or the apartment you’d like to move into. Or, one of your children may be giving you a hard time, but if that is the case, drop it. When it comes to money and your child, be sensitive.

The July 2 eclipse is a new moon, suggesting your living situation will present a new opportunity. Uranus will support you at this new moon, so you likely will find what you need quickly—and at a bargain. Uranus will be in a tight, friendly conversation with this new moon, and the closeness of two heavenly bodies in aspect matters in astrology—the closer two planets are, the more clout the aspect will have for you.

Throughout this month, Mars will be in Leo, your truelove sector, indicating that your love life will start to flourish. If you are trying for a baby, this month could bring conception. This sector also rules your creativity, which should reach to all-time peaks. Uranus is in your financial sector and will not initially find accord with Mars in early July. This could cause an argument about money with the person you are dating or living with, but not married to, as the marriage house is in a different part of your chart and won’t be affected.

The second eclipse, a lunar full moon on July 16, will fall in Capricorn and light your tenth house of reputation, honors, and awards. This is a full moon lunar eclipse and, therefore, could feel more emotional, for it marks an ending. It may be that a member of management is leaving—it seems to be an important woman, someone you liked and who always protected you. Alternatively, an office scandal could be unfolding, and personnel changes among the top echelon may bring big news.

The moon will conjoin Pluto at this July 16 eclipse, and at the same time, Pluto will oppose the Sun, so someone seems to be difficult—telling you what to do and when to do it. Doing battle with your boss, client, or another person in authority would not be practical or productive. Think before you speak, lest you later regret having said something in the heat of the moment. There is no doubt you will see an ending and a beginning—you may leave your present job for another one, or (as odd as this sounds) you may win a big promotion. Neptune is unusually well positioned to the Sun and moon to provide help from a connected high-level VIP. This person will want to keep a low profile but will be on your side, even if you don’t know you have this behind-the-scenes help.

The month will be packed with news, for July will also have a second new moon on July 31, but this will not be an eclipse. This one will light your love sector and will be in perfect angle to Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck. If you are dating, your relationship will become closer and likely move to a new level. If you are not dating, you will have one of your best chances of 2019 to meet your one truelove. If you are married, this is the time to plan something together, such as an awe-inspiring vacation.

If you hope for a baby, try to conceive any day after the new moon of July 31 arrives. Uranus will be in hard angle to the new moon, so you may worry about the costs associated with having a baby, but babies bring luck—the angels are on your side, and your parents are behind you, too. With support like that, things should click into place.
