Your April 2025 Horoscope for Aries
by Susan MillerLast month, on March 29, you experienced a friendly new moon solar eclipse in Aries, 9 degrees. All eclipses are harbingers of change, and this one, being a new moon, opened a new path for you. If your birthday falls within five days of March 29, you felt that eclipse quite directly and likely got news that interested you that you would want to investigate. The same is true if you have Aries rising at 9 degrees, plus or minus five degrees. Take a look at your chart to see if you have any natal planets in Aries, Leo, Sagittarius, Gemini, Libra, or Aquarius at or within five degrees of 9 degrees. The planet at that degree might be very helpful to you.
Having said all that, I feel every Aries of every birthday will have something to cheer about. You will have good news in the first week of April, if you didn’t already hear news at the end of March. News also may arrive on April 29, as some eclipses deliver news one month to the day later, plus or minus five days.
As you enter April, you are probably considering your options and deciding how something new could fit into your present life. An eclipse will often ask you to give up something to get something else—something better. New moon solar eclipses like this almost always open up a door with happy news, and this one has so many harmonious planets associated with it that after seeing what has come up, I feel you could be smiling and embracing the new you.
An eclipse in your own sign always presents a message that is very personal and important to you, and because there is no predestination in astrology, you get to decide what to do next. Never be too quick to pronounce an eclipse “good” or a “bad”—eclipses need time to play out, and all of them have a second act. You might know immediately that what has transpired brought a golden opportunity, or it may take a few weeks for the message to play out, but either way, I feel you will see that you benefitted.
Now let’s turn to another topic. Your home and family life has been on your mind for weeks, and trying to keep things calm and stable has been a workout. This emphasis will calm down once you reach April 17 when your ruler Mars will move out of Cancer and into Leo. Leo is a far better place for you for your ruling planet to be. You have been laboring under a heavy cloud cover for months, for Mars was retrograde for an excessively long time (December 6 to February 23, and won’t fully regulate its orbit until May 2).
