News from Susan Miller
Circle this date! Saturday, September 18 at 1:00 PM local time until to the end of the day at the Louis Vuitton store in your city—over 400 international stores. That is the time my window in Louis Vuitton will have its half-day. My window’s appearance will help celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Louis Vuitton with a trunk that I designed. I have been working on this with the Creative Lab in London who was overseeing this project, and we did everything over Zoom and by FedEx. Until now I was sworn to secrecy.
Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
As an Aquarian, you have your own yardstick for success—that is your key to confidence. You don’t particularly care what other people think, but rather it is your assessment of what you are doing that counts. You are acutely aware of current events and the feelings of others in the world, the reason Aquarius is called the sign of the brotherhood of man and the sign most likely to form groups to combat suffering of those in the community or the world at large who have been marginalized and overlooked.
A typical Aquarian is not overly concerned about money because you feel that if you concentrate and work hard and smart, always in the spirit of innovation and creativity, the money will flow to you naturally. You are right, and it has always been that way. That’s why this month is a bit of an anomaly—you will be fairly obsessed with making money, saving money, your credit rating, and how you approach spending.
The new moon on September 6 will kick off this trend. It will appear in Virgo, 15 degrees, your eighth house of other people’s money. This new moon is outstandingly favorable, and the tightest, closest aspect will come from Uranus, the planet of unexpected developments, suggesting you may get money from family that you don’t see coming. This would be true even if you have never received money from your parent or other relatives before. The fact that Uranus is your ruler only strengthens this aspect to a powerful level. Looking at your chart, it could be that you are saving up money in order to buy a house or condo, and your windfall from family might be to help you toward achieving that end.
You might see income from other sources, but with Uranus based in your fourth house, it seems to be closely tied to either family or real estate at the core. If you are selling property, you will also do well—your timing could not be better. Make sure the buyer is pre-approved from the bank, and set the closing date either for the first half of September or near October 31, your best date. If you are a real estate broker, your commission this month (coming just after the new moon September 6) could easily turn out to be hefty.
A new moon has a long cord—it will affect you for months. This is good news since your outlook for making money will be strong. Still, the benefits of a new moon will always be strongest in the 10 days that follow it. If you work in sales, that’s important to note—in September, work hard from September 6 to 16.
Also on September 6, you will have two glittering aspects, which happen to coincide with the new moon.
The first involves a friendly aspect (trine) between Mars, the action planet, and Pluto. Mars has been moving through your eighth house of earned income since July 29, so undoubtedly the balances on your credit cards have been rising. The new moon on September 6 along with the smooth interaction between Pluto and Mars will support your situation by strongly helping your cash flow to allow you to lower the balance on your credit cards.
Pluto’s involvement in this aspect suggests you may get help from a government program. If you are a student in college or graduate school, you may get money from an educational grant, scholarship, or from your employer’s matching tuition funds program. These are several examples, but you may find other sources of funding.
Venus first entered Libra on August 15 and will remain until September 10. The first 10 days of September will be your best time for fun and love. If a friend wants to make an introduction, that’s the period to suggest the meeting take place.
Also on the same day, September 6, Venus in Libra will receive a bountiful beam from Jupiter, the giver of gifts and luck. Venus is not only associated with love and fun but also with profit. This aspect could bring you money from a publishing or broadcasting assignment, a client based overseas, or a generous sum from an import-export deal.
The only thing that concerns me about this new moon is that Neptune is so active and in direct opposition (wide) to the transiting Sun and new moon and will be in even tighter opposition at the full moon on September 20 in Pisces that I will discuss later.
This means you will need to be very thorough when reviewing financial information. You likely will have to bring in an expert to study the financial backup to be sure no one is hiding funds from you. If you are in a divorce and dividing property, the possibility rises that your soon-to-be ex is doing some sort of shenanigans—hopefully the judge or arbitrator will demand to see additional backup in the discovery phase.
There is one possible way Neptune’s influence can work out, and that is if you work in the arts. If you own an art gallery, create music, or are a producer, a chef, fashion designer, home decorator, makeup artist, costume designer, or other artistic person, Neptune’s presence might mean you will do well.
One thing you will have to watch for all month is the possibility for identity theft. Check your bank records carefully the moment they arrive, and call your bank or credit card company with any questions—there is no such thing as a silly question. I called American Express when I saw a $10.80 charge on my bill. I asked what it was, and it turned out it was a monthly subscription charge to a food delivery service. Since I always tip the delivery person well, I didn’t want to pay for the service also, so as little as this charge was, I stopped it. You can’t be too careful.
Once Mars moves into Libra on September 14, to stay until October 30, you will find life easier. Libra is a sign that blends beautifully with your Aquarius Sun, so you will have an ally in Mars. Charges on your credit card will start to drop, and you may be able to pay back many of those expenses on your card.
The full moon of September 20 in Pisces, 28 degrees, will conclude your focus on financials. Within four days of September 20, you will form a final legal agreement. If anyone owes you money—a client who has not paid, or for back child support as two examples—then you will have your best chance of seeing a payment at the full moon.
The place of this full moon on September 20 is the house of personal salary—you will get your final answer. If you want a raise but are not sure you can get one, it might be worth asking anyway at this time. Otherwise, wait until March when your outlook is fantastic for financial gain.
Since the second house of income covers possessions, you may be buying something expensive, such as a piece of art or a designer fashion item that you’ve wanted for a long time.
This month you will need to wrap up all your negotiations in the first half of September because Mercury will go retrograde in Libra, the legal sign and sector of your chart, from September 26 to October 18.
It is never wise to sign a contract during a Mercury retrograde as conditions are dynamically changing day by day, and you won’t know which way things are headed. My friend signed her employment contract during a Mercury retrograde, and today the firm was taken over by another company, leaving a lot of questions about her future and how the firm will be managed.
If you need a new electronic product, get it immediately, the moment the month begins, to stay as far away from Mercury retrograde as possible. This includes the purchase of a car or home appliance, such as a dish washer or a vacuum cleaner, not only computers, new software, or a smart phone. If you can’t purchase your coveted item by September 14, wait until late October to do so. I like October 31 the most for purchasing your product.
Before I go, let me assure you that you will enjoy Mars in Libra. Mars will intensify your interactions with foreign people and places. If your company’s headquarters are based in Paris, for example, you might be called in to go there (and if you’re based in Paris, or France, then maybe your company is based in the US or the UK, for instance). Your chart does not suggest a holiday or vacation trip but one taken for work.
If you can’t fly to company headquarters, then “Paris” may come to you. That is, one or more executives will come to see you in your country. On the other hand, it may mean you will communicate with foreign clients abroad via the phone, email, or Zoom, such as a writer would do for various international publications. The work you do may be for the media, sales, broadcasting, publishing, or it might be in new media.
You might have strong interaction with academia if you are a professor, a college student, or even a high school student getting ready to choose the institution you will apply to and attend later.
Finally, this month will not be a big month for romance, however, the move of Venus through Libra should be sweet. Venus first entered Libra on August 15 and will remain until September 10. The first 10 days of September will be your best time for fun and love. If a friend wants to make an introduction, that’s the period to suggest the meeting take place.
The first 10 days of September will also be a perfect time to browse your favorite shops on the Internet and choose some new items to wear in the coming season. You might want to get a fresh haircut, and if you are inclined, schedule Botox and fillers. Venus is strongly related to the face, so it’s the ideal time to spiff up your look and greet the new season (starting September 22 with the equinox) in style.
You’ve been taking on more responsibility ever since Saturn entered Aquarius on December 17, 2020, and you are handling it well. Jupiter is in your sign again too, having made a brief exit to Pisces from May 13 to July 28, and you’re feeling Jupiter’s glow these days. Jupiter takes 12 years to circle the Sun, so you get a visit from Jupiter every 12 years, and when he comes knocking, it’s always a special year for you. You have begun a prosperous new life cycle with Jupiter in Aquarius, so you may have noticed that parts of your life are in the process of change and growth. It’s all for good—you are ready for those changes. Next year, all the work you did this year will begin to take root—if you work hard, 2022 will be a hugely profitable year for you.
This month you will be thinking a lot about your finances. You may have had to write quite a number of checks lately, perhaps because you needed to buy a new car, pay college tuition, or welcome a new baby—these are just a few examples. Lifestyle changes and growth always bring high expenses, but later you will see those expenses will be worth the cost. When Jupiter was touring Pisces from May 13 to July 28, you may have seen a rise in income, so you may not be too concerned about recent expenses.
If that is not true for you, Jupiter will move back to Pisces starting on December 29 to remain in that sign for the lion’s share of 2022. This means that next year bodes amazingly well for your financial growth, possibly the best you’ve ever experienced.
The new moon on September 6 in Virgo will start discussions about money. If you have to borrow or raise money, such as to start a business, or if you want to buy a house and you’d need a mortgage, or if you want to go to undergraduate or graduate school, you may be in search of a grant or scholarship or need to ask for financial aid or a student loan.
The eighth house is the place where big dreams are hatched. If you need to “go shopping” for a large amount of money to materialize a dream, you are in luck. Uranus, your ruler, will be in harmonious, sparkling conversation with the Sun and new moon and bring a near miraculous twist to events in the eleventh hour, allowing you to get the money you need. While everyone will be enthusiastic about this new moon, you will enjoy it more because Uranus is your ruling planet, and that adds extra weight and importance in your chart.
Moreover, Mars, currently in Virgo, your house of credit, loans, and other people’s money—has been responsible for your higher than usual spending lately. Mars wants to help you this month, so on September 6, Mars will reach out to his buddy Pluto. Pluto is currently in your twelfth house of confidential matters, and Mars is in your eighth house of other people’s money. The result is that you have a good chance of receiving funds from a confidential source. When it comes to getting the money you need to fund your big dream, it looks like you’ll be celebrating very soon.
It also appears real estate or family could be a major source of funds this month. If you are buying a house, you are likely to get a great price, and if selling you are likely to get more than your asking price. If you need money from family, this month you are in luck—they seem predisposed to help you, even if your parents or relatives have never helped you before.
The full moon on September 20 will also draw your attention to money, this time from a different part of the chart, your second house of salary and other earned income. If you asked for a raise, you’ll get your answer now. If you are interviewing for a new job, the negotiation happens now and will finalize quickly.
Neptune will be conjunct the full moon, so if you are finishing up a major artistic project, you will do well and likely love the project. This would be the best manifestation of this full moon. On the other hand, if you are about to enter a major undertaking (not artistic—Neptune rules the arts), ask a lawyer to look at the contract. Neptune can obscure facts or present confusing terms. You need a second pair of eyes to look over the language in the contract’s clauses—this is something you must not rush.
Mercury is about to retrograde from September 26 to October 18, so if possible, sign papers very soon or next month—my ideal day to recommend would be October 31. If delaying the signing means you would lose the job or the apartment (as two examples), then you must sign even if Mercury is retrograde. Realize that you may not be in that situation you are going into for very long. (You won’t likely stay in the new apartment or the new job very long, to follow up these two examples.) You may be okay with that, and you may see this opportunity as a steppingstone to something even better.
