Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
If you are presented a contract to sign—very possible at the full moon of October 1—show it to your lawyer and, if ready for your signature, sign quickly in the first days of October, but better yet, wait until mid-November. Mercury, the planet that covers all communication and legal agreements, will go retrograde October 13 to November 3. It is never wise to sign during (or near) a Mercury retrograde phase. If your deal can wait, then postpone any signature until after mid-November when Mercury’s big brother Mars will also turn direct (November 13).
If you are searching for a new position, one may come up in November, so spend time crafting your polished résumé. When thinking about the references you will offer, be especially careful—there appears to be someone who wants you to think of them as a supporter but is really a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Ask your headhunter, if you have one, for advice.
This new moon of October 16 may bring a major media project (publishing, broadcasting, or digital), and if so, prepare for fierce competition bubbling up behind the scenes. Present you best credentials and face to the world. Hidden competition could be a problem, so be ready for them.
The new moon October 16 has so many planets fighting that it’s remarkable. Mars is opposed to the Sun and new moon, and Mars is square Pluto and Saturn. Plus, the Sun and moon are having their own private feud with Saturn and Pluto. I’ve rarely seen anything like this. Keep strong, as the stresses and strains on you could lower both your immunity and your self-confidence in your abilities—this is all temporary, so don’t be crushed by these aspects.
