Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
Saturn’s position suggests an alternate possibility, and it has to do with money. Be sure you can afford the monthly rent or mortgage payments that you might commit to now. You don’t want to put yourself in a situation where you struggle financially month after month.
You can also direct the energies of the new moon May 11 toward helping a family member, most likely your mother or father, but it actually could be any relative in need. (Parents or those you view as parents, including some elderly relatives, would come under the fourth house of home.) You might want to find an assisted living situation for your mother, for instance, or help drive your father to the doctor or dentist for his routine checkups.
When my mother was alive, I would go to her apartment all the time, always bringing my computer. We would talk, laugh, and watch TV as I wrote my monthly reports on Astrology Zone. (That would takes at least ten days of writing so I would go to her house to see her while I worked during part of those days.)
I was always glad I went, for sometimes I would notice the pilot light was out on her stove or that one of the bulbs in her bathroom was out and needed a replacement.
Once I saw my mother drag a small step ladder into the kitchen. At the time she was 87. Running after her, and before she attempted to climb up, I stopped her, asking, “Little Mom, what do you need? I can get it for you!” She was trying to reach a serving bowl on the top shelf of her cupboard. My goodness. Of course, I got it for her. What if I hadn’t been there? My point is, you may assume you are not helping your mother or father by coming to visit, but you are doing quite a lot by catching little everyday things that you can help fix.
