Your Horoscope by Susan Miller
Your new focus with Mars in Taurus from January 6 to March 3 will be on your home and the needs of your family. There are any number of ways this may work out. You may move to a new residence. If you decide to rent a vacation cottage, start searching now, far in advance of when you’d use it. Or you may declutter, order repairs or maintenance, paint or renovate, or the most fun—decorate. If your home is just fine as it is, you may be moved to help a parent and keep a closer eye on your mother, father, or other older beloved relative.
Most of the month, you will be working behind the scenes, keeping a low profile. It appears you’ve been working on a project that required concentration. Soon, however, you will be in the spotlight—the moment the Sun rolls out of your twelfth house, an area of privacy and work behind closed doors, and into your first house of the horoscope, which will happen January 19.
Keep in mind that Mercury is about to retrograde in Aquarius on January 30 until February 20. You should not sign papers during that time, especially as you get anywhere close to either of those dates. So many readers rush to sign, say, on January 29 or February 21, for example, but Mercury is at his most mischievous during the start and end dates of the retrograde.
Aquarius rules the digital age, so the coming retrograde may be especially hard on electronics, software, and machines. If you need to buy a new electronic item, do so early in January, prior to mid-month for best results. Be sure all your data is being backed up, and insert new software early in the month—never while Mercury is out of phase.
